Don't know but if he did check the Burn's barn that's where he usually parked it but maybe that was his Christmas bonus from the city he may have got to take it with him.lmao. I mean you never know.

Did that article say that it was the teacher's fault for not allowing the annexation? Uh... teacher's don't have a say on the annexation. The people between the town and the property do. And they didn't get the stuff in in time this year to put it to a vote. So... that's the fault of the city.

Thanks for the link to the article. It seems like Mayor Reed would still have that "half a## "cop here and blaming the school board? But that's right his non work related injury .Why didn't she disclose that info?Man she is so out there .But out of all bad comes so good .Stamper IS GONE.Yeah .Still cannot believe she is the way she is and she is Mayor of that little town .

Yes! The town cop is gone! We can finally feel safe again in our own town! No more living in fear of what this crazed mad man might do to us or our children! Thank you, Jesus!

The article said that the mayor was talking about the drag racing and all well that went on with the town cop right in town that sure hasn't changed. She tried to make it sound like all this started after he left .That is too funny.

The school is on the Mt.Olivet sewer according to the article in the paper but the water supply is coming from the Buffalo Trail and not the Buffalo Trace!

I have to agree with the poster about the drag racing .They would go right through town all hours of the night and day and he was to worried about making enemies? But yet he never once thought about trying to make friends .So someone can judge my post as nuts too.But facts are facts and the truth is the truth .Something he wasn't good at it was so much easier to tell untruths .He was a waste of money .

So they will be hiring? I should apply 20+ years exp in both LE and Fire/EMS. There are all sorts of grants to get things for the town. But I am sure no matter who is the chief I am sure someone will complain.

Well apply you never know until you try .I'm your right someone always will complain .But we do need someone in there that will do the right thing, treat ALL people fairly, and at least try to get to know some of the older residents of the city and county .There are an awful lot of good people that will support the right one if they try to get to know them .Good Luck !

The focus of the article is that they are blaming the school teachers for the fact that they can no longer afford to keep a "town cop" working. So applying for the job would be kinda useless. The fact that there are tons of grants available doesn't mean that the city will apply for them, or if in fact they will even get them due to the fact that the school was just awarded so much money. Guess that's something that could be brought up at a city council meeting.

Well there are grants for LE and public safety and they are different from grants for schools. doesn't a board of ed run the school, different tax fund etc. Sounds to me like they needed to clean the table. Heck I am retired I get a pretty good pension from my fund now. I'd do it pretty cheap. LOL OK not that cheap but not trying to get rich. But I'd enforce laws do my job and treat everyone as equal and I also would work with the prosecutor on diversion programs instead of jail time for some of those were are not a huge risk. I think an explorer program would be good and why not build the force with auxiliary men and women and go from there. The Sheriff can only do so much. He is one man too. Oh well I am going to visit the mayor after Christmas and drop in and see what happens. Be interesting. my highest rank in LE was Lt. and investigator highest rank in Fire was Chief. So I do know how to run a dept and get results.

Happy Holidays everyone,

AJ

Regardless of how cheap you want to do it they are required to pay a certain amount. The moneys not there and frankly I hope the whole damn town goes under.

Well tootsie .I don't think anyone has anything against the mayor but let's think back to about 2010 or so when she got our EX police chief in here and look at the other issues that's come into focus .And as for citizen they too are entitled to their opinions as well. And why would anyone want the town to go under ?
