The write in, are in the paper again.THE first article said that we can use a write in,if a candidiate die or resign. The second article say's only if a candidiate die, they thought a candidiate was going to resign and change it to a candidiate dying. Which one is it,that opinion change in three weeks,what's up with that.I would like to read what happen at city hall,it's been going on for two weeks. Mayor of bassfield need an animal orinance in city limits especially by the regions bank but across from the church. Its about a hundred cats out there not to mention the dogs. The yard reap from animal urine and feces. Plus the house is over grown wit bushes and trees. In city limits come on mayor. We as neighbors are not satisfied wit the situation. We have to routinely chase animals away from our property. The situation need to be handled now.

are you sure they are cats? look again. they might be gang thugs. they do a lot of the same things. they make your place smell bad with they mess. they hang out in places with overgrown tree and bushes. you have to chase them away all the time if you not afraid they kill you firs

I use to think that Buford was the problem, and he was a lot of it.

I hate to speak ill of the dead but, he is probably still to blame for a lot of these residual problems.

The townspeople of Bassfield are just poorly represented; In the law enforcement community and the city council.

The problem is that there is not but about 300 people that vote in Bassfield. However; the Police department has to Police so many more people than this.

This is because you have 2 major highways that pass thorough Bassfield and the Police have to keep up with this traffic while patrolling all of the ones that come from out of town to purchase Narcotics.

Yes, the Bassfield apartments are in the county but you have to access them from the city.

All the Police try to do is set up Road Blocks, because that's the only way they know how to catch anything illegal. They have not been trained (and they could study this on their own) on how to do proper interdiction. In today's technology, road blocks just don't work anymore. They only detain the good law abiding people un-necessarily.

I am a law abiding citizen, and it has come to the point that I don't even like to go anywhere near Bassfield (especially at night) because I know that I am going to be detained at a Road Block of some kind.

To go to Hattiesburg I have gotten to the point that I go through Collins or Columbia just to avoid the Bassfield Road Blocks.
