This book by a Harvard trained physicician who is alao a Member of the American College of Physiians ( MRCP ) is invaluable to Tibetan Buddhism and compassion in this day and age of HMOS which restrict our country to a third world nation without an insurance policy or a jobless American citizen. Many of our people still dont even get aspirin for a Heart attack ironically despite the Jarvik 7 and the advances of Massachusets General Hospital.Perhaps Hillary Clinton had a point. This novel of a litany of medical conditions and its protean manifestation is shocking as the poor are worse off than many in third world countries with a socialised healthcare system. I need to fill up pages of justification for certain drugs and Fibromyalgia is not recognised for eligibility of treatmment for severe neurealgic pain with Lyrica. Is this fair, or are we truly the land of the brave and free as stated in the American Constitution.
