Mount Kisco police officer lies on the ground, comforting a woman after she was struck by a car about 10:15 a.m. today while crossing West Main Street in Mount Kisco.

I don't know who that officer is, but it bought tears to my eyes to see such compassion. He is displaying how much he cares and not just his duty as a police officer.
I had a terrible fall years ago and couldn't move, but I will never forget the simple gesture of a witness (who happened to be a firefighter) who took my hand and gently told me that I was going to be ok. Anyyone who can, should show empathy and compassion in times like this. I hope the lady will be ok, my heart goes out to her.
