Man if they'd ever looked at my computer they would find all KINDS of filth. Filth, I might add....performed only by those 18 years of age and older.

You people buy this BS? If he knew the tape had recorded the girls undressing, why didn't he destroy the tape right away. I would have shredded that thing at the first opportunity. And how did his wife know about it and come in possession of it.
Read the story, he got called out and left it on the bed not knowing or thnking anything was on it. The EX hag snapped it up told him he'd never see it again, and used it to fry him when they got divorced. She is 1 EVIL WITCH! I would have got rid of her miserable a** too...

What are you talking about, "he got called out..."? The story said he was outside the room and heard the girls taking about getting undressed and he didn't go in the room. It doesn't say he "got called out" and it doesn't say his wife "snapped up the tape and told him he'd never see it again". That doesn't even make sense. He knew the camera was running, he turned it on for the so-called prank. Obviously if he thought it filmed the girls getting undressed (still no explanation on the undressing) he would have done something to get rid of the tape, erase the tape, whatever. I'll admit that I may not have the whole story because I only know what is in the paper, and history tells us this may not be the whole story.

"What happened instead, Deppen said, was that immediately after he retrieved the camera he tossed it on the bed when he was called outside.

When he returned to the room, Deppen said, Garvey was there and confronted him about the contents of the tape and told him he would never see the tape again."

...from the article, you have to read down a few paragraphs.

Yeah, that's what he said. There was no corroboration of that. That's just as good as him saying he didn't do it. Where were the witnesses to that?

I find it very unusual that the wife had the tape for 6 years before she turned it over to the police. If I found my husband in possession of such a tape I would either turn it over right away (if I really thought he was in to kiddie porn) or destroy it (if it really was an accident).
What kind of person do you have to be to keep it for 6 years bore turning it over to the police? It shows you she had no interest in protecting the "poor children." She only did it to make his life miserable not that they were getting a divorce.
A vengeful bitch with malice aforethought? Looking for a paycheck for life? Found a saltier peter and hoped for a big $$$$ settlement? She should have to pay his attorney fees and all lost wages.

Poor judgment is all I can say. Why were a group of young girls in his home without parental supervision, or any supervisaion for that matter? As a teacher, I wouldn't even dream of allowing a group of children in my bedroom, let alone unsupervised.

Hi, while I may have some of this incorrect also, here is the clipping:::

Had he known that the film captured anything improper, Deppen added, "I would have ripped it up, destroyed it, thrown it away."

What happened instead, Deppen said, was that immediately after he retrieved the camera he tossed it on the bed when he was called outside.

When he returned to the room, Deppen said, Garvey was there and confronted him about the contents of the tape and told him he would never see the tape again.

Deppen said he explained to her the circumstances surrounding the incident and didn't think about it again.

So, I guess I was wrong a bit, but thecontent is basically the same.
