Dentist? Writer?

From the early seventies until 2004, Dr. Alex Hochheiser was the “Family Dentist” to hundreds of Burlington County families. He started caring for some patient’s dental needs when they made their first visit to the dentist and ended working on their children’s dental needs years later. Some still go to Dr. Hochheiser’s former Rancocas office (since his retirement in 2004) and ask for “Dr. Hochheiser”, a nice tribute to his way with his patients.

Some of his patients knew (but most did not) that while he was their white-tuniced gentle dentist by day wielding drill and explorer (that is the little mirror the dentist looks inside your mouth with), he was a Robert Ludlum-esce novelist by night. Like many novelists simply by working at night after his day-job, by 2004 he had penned two novels during his years practicing dentistry in Burlington County.

In July 2013, Dr. Hochheiser published his third novel about a terrorist plot against the United States, The Smiling Buddha, under the pen name, Alex Heiser, on Amazon’s Kindle. A free look at the first chapter is available by clicking on the link http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DROQARI . On June 1, 2014, he published his second novel, a mystery involving a former Congressman and Vietnam War vet with a tormenting secret from his war days, XC 500, under his pen name. The link to it is http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KOTXP0Y .

He is currently working on the sequel to The Smiling Buddha and expects to complete it later this year. He is on FaceBook if you want to communicate with him.
