I got to know Dave when he and I were longtime co-residents at the CareOne facility in Marlton. Both of us were rehabbing. I'm a litigation attorney and he used to kid me a great deal, and also a former church member of his Uncle, a Methodist Minister, Ken.
Dave was one of the nicest people I've ever met. He'd been through a great deal already when I knew him, and more surgery was to be scheduled. He was a constant, benevolent presence in the exercise gym, wise-cracking, laughing, helping other people who were having difficulty doing the prescribed exercise, chatting it up with everyone. A very, very good man. I am so very sorry. Best to his family.
