The NO LEFT TURN in front of the DMV on Hwy27

For the Love of God People...There is a NO LEFT TURN off of 27 in front of the DMV for a reason. About 15 years ago a 16 year old girl lost her life there because someone was turning left there and a Tractor Trailer coming down the hill behind her couldn't stop in the rain and drove over the top of her killing her. That's why they spent $100,000 to put the turning lane further up at the Victory Chevrolet. So to ALL you MORONS that keep turning there to go to the DMV or the ATM....STOP!!! Before it happens again.If I'm behind you I don't want to be crushed by someone behind me because of your stupidity. Understand?? Take yer stupid @$$ just a little further up and make a left where your supposed to!!

I agree Maximus, I was there the other day waiting for my friend to come out of the DMV and I counted 5 Vehicles turn in there and a couple of the Car`s coming from town had to wait for them to turn in. The Police could set there and write Citations all day long if they would.

lol, people are stupid. They dont know how to read signs or the writing ON the road, lol. Its really kinda scary knowing that these morons are behind you and coming at you on the road. The DMV will fail you on the license test if you dont turn in at the Victory Chevrolet side. Makes you wonder how some people got their license.

I came from Stanley one day and made a right turn into the DMV and a MH cop pulled up beside me to let me know that there is no left turn there. If Im not mistaken there is a lane there to turn righ.It made me upset to think he wasn't paying enough attention to see which way I had came from.

As someone who has lived in MH all my lifetime, I've had to be reminded by someone in my car to not turn there. It's easy to forget. I know, I know. There is a sign there. Still, I bet a lot of the violators didn't see the sign.

I knew better than to turn left there and always have. But the one & only time that I decided to do it (in a hurry) I got a ticket (the only ticket I've ever had). It angers me that I see lots of people do it ALL the time, and have even seen them do it in view of police that just keep going. Lesson learned, I will never do it again.

Well there wasn't always a no left turn there and like future mayor said "it's easy to forget". I think it's easy money for the Mount Holly Police to sit there all day and write tickets when their service is needed elsewhere. The easiest way to get rid of the problem is to not have an entrance to the shopping center here and shoppers use the side entrance since people will not obey the traffic sign for no left turn.

EXACTLY LIFE LONG....they should remove the entrance there ALL together. Then people would have to turn at Victory where they are supposed to. Cuz obviously a Sign isnt enough for the morons in MH. Nuff said huh?

Well to be truthful Maximus, there has been times someone has removed that sign.

The sign has been there at least 10 years and most of the people turning left know it's there and are just ignoring it. They are too lazy to go up and turn in the turning lane.

The yellow poles are an EXCELLENT idea. That would still let folks turn in from the right and exit to the right. Otherwise they could use the other road which could stand a red light with all the post office traffic.

While the sign has been there 10 years, it has been taken up several times by vandals and other people who resent getting a ticket for turning here. And while Mount Hollyians know not to turn here, people who go to the dmv from outside our area may not know one can't turn there, one certainly doesn't look for a no turn sign into a shopping center, let's be at least fair here. And no, the yellow poles are not and excellent idea,. I think they are ugly and I think it is a dumb idea.
