4 simple questions that should make us think before we vote in November.

The president and his men have been hounding Gov Romney to release his tax returns for the past ten years. I say that the Gov should release his tax records but only after the president answers the four questions below. Fair deal? or should the President review third grade arithmetic?

1. Back in 1961 people of color were called 'Negroes.' So how can the Obama 'birth certificate' state he is "African-American" when the term wasn't even used at that time?

2. The birth certificate that the White House released lists Obama's birth as August 4, 1961 & Lists Barack Hussein Obama as his
father. No big deal, right ? At the time of Obama's birth, it also shows that his father is aged 25 years old, and that Obama's father
was born in " Kenya , East Africa". This wouldn't seem like anything of concern, except the fact that Kenya did not even exist
until 1963, two whole years after Obama's birth, and 27 years after his father's birth. How could Obama's father have been born in a country that did not yet exist? Until Kenya was formed in 1963, it was known as the "British East Africa Protectorate".
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenya

3. On the Birth Certificate released by the White House, the listed place of birth is "Kapi'olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital".
This cannot be, because the hospital(s) in question in 1961 were called "KauiKeolani Children's Hospital" and "Kapi'olani Maternity Home," respectively. The name did not change to Kapi'olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital until 1978, when these two hospitals merged. How can this particular name of the hospital be on a birth certificate dated 1961 if this name had not yet been applied to it until 1978?
http://http/www.kapiolani.org/ women-and-children/about-us/de fault.aspx ;

Why hasn't this been discussed in the major media ?

4. Perhaps a clue comes from Obama's book on his father. He states how proud he is of his father fighting in WW II. I'm not a math genius, so I may need some help from you. Barack Obama's "birth certificate" says his father was 25 years old in 1961 when he was born. That should have put his father's date of birth approximately 1936-if my math holds (Honest! I did that without a calculator!!!) Now we need a non-revised history book-one that hasn't been altered to satisfy the author's goals-to verify that WWII was basically between 1939 and 1945. Just how many 3 year olds fight in wars? Even in the latest stages of WW II his father wouldn't have been more than 9.

Is it just me, or does anyone else see something in this that isn't disturbing?

When left-wingers don't know the answer, the question is meaningless.

The four things voters should ask themselves before going to the polls.
1. Will my children need to borrow money for their college education & if I want to start a small business do my parents have that start up money I am supposed to borrow.
2. Can my parents or grandparents survive without medicare & social security.
3. Am I so rich that I want the richest people in the country to have a tax cut at my expense.
4. Will a return to the George Bush policies that got us into this mess, somehow, miraculously get us out of it.
How are these 4 reasons Robert? Now you just worry about your capital gains taxes while I worry about what should be front & foremost with middle class voters, unless of course, they have to vote the way the Church tells them.
Not everyone has the luxury of being rich, but Lord knows, just listening to them you would think they were all millionaires.

Why are the taxpayers responsible for paying for your children's college education or for providing capital to start your business?
Why are you so ignorant of basic economics or global tax competiveness?

Because Mr. Stowe, educating America should be one of the top priorities for our country...now and for our future. Pell grants and low interest student loans are essential to making that happen. The vast majority of students do not have the means available to them to fully pay for their education (much less the private school education you received) and would not have the opportunity to go to college without this type of funding.

Mr. Stowe, I'm surprised by your dismissal of the need to support small businesses given their very real impact on the overall economy.

Subsidy whether it be grants or scholarships are the main reason college costs have risen so much faster than those in the general economy.
I'm in favor of supporting all business through lower taxes and resonable regulation. Our tax system compared to our global competitors is very inefficent and inhibits our ability to compete. American companies have almost a trillion dollars in cash sitting offshore. They aren't about to bring it here and automatically pay 35% of it in federal income tax. Most of our global competitors don't tax repatriated earnings. Our corporate tax is the highest of our global competitors and most of them have litte or no capital gains tax. Under those circumstances where would you choose to do business?

I agree with you. The US corp tax rate and overseas incorporation to avoid those taxes are issues that must be addressed. However, I'm not convinced that simply lowering that rate is going to solve the problem and bring all of that money back home.
BUT, that issue does not negate the need to support small business.
