Just rode by the old Backwoods place, looks like Mount Holly has a new restaurant called "Farmers Fork". Looks like they are using the same backwoods decor, a mistake, and will probably sell the same kind of food, another mistake. The first place didn't make it, what makes them think this will?

It's in Mount Holly, it will fail...except for my coffee shop. They gave me $20,000. Until then, I will be open, then close shop and blame it on the economy, or Romney being elected or my affair with another man coming into light.

Excuse me, but the Farmers Fork will not be a bust. The decor is not the same nor the food. This happens to be my brother in laws restaurant, who also happens to be a successful business man. They will be serving soups, salads and daily specials, along with breakfast. "Don't knock it, til you try it."

This is a wonderful place to eat!! The food is bright and tasty!! The decor is beautiful!! This will be a success!! You should give it a try. Help support the town of Mt Holly as well as new business owners. Don't be negative about something you haven't tried!!

My family were the owners of the first BBQ restaurant in Greensboro, NC. My Dad worked 18 hours per day 7 days a week most of my life. He never turned anyone away...even when closing. I can remember my Mother fussing at him for doing so...he always said "They are customers, they will return". He was right...they did. His business remained open for 64 years. It was a family owned business and he worked the last day before he entered the hospital on his exit out of this world.
I've been half way around the world and ate BBQ all over the place and although I love Stamey's BBQ, his was the best.
If I was younger, I could open a BBQ restaurant in Gaston County and it would be mind-blowing! I have all of his recipes...and I worked there while in College. So I know the business.
New businesses don't turn away customers...if they want repeat business.

Nick's is a great place to eat in Gastonia! Tony's hot dogs are ok...but they need to change their oil more frequently, their french fries wreak!

Nick's sucks. Even Romney agrees that less Navy boats is a good thing. Idiot.

Yes, your local tax dollars amounting to $15,000 purchased the oven hood at Backwoods/Farmer's Fork. I think all MH tax payers should get a 20% discount.

What say you?
