What's the attraction at Davis Park

Well, here's another day presenting with rain. No not a meterologist, just making note because I often wonder why so many perople, alone or with someone, chooses to sit in their vehicle at Davis Park.

The odd thing is, sometimes the vehicles are backed in and sit for upwards of two-to-three hours or so.

Doesn't make sense to me. Or, perhaps it does. Illegal activity seems prevelant in Charlotte parks, so why not here in the quaint little town of Belmont.

Can someone answer as to why this seems to happen on a daily basis?

Quit looking out your window and call the police already.

LOL..That is rather funny. I suppose I could be a "nosey" neighbor, but there again maybe I walk my dog everyday at a specific time over at the baseball field. It is quite the quandry.

And, as far as the police are concerned, I'm not sure a vehicle sitting represents high on their response list.

But, there again, what if it were at all times of the day and night?

Then I would be a nosey neighbor wouldn't I? But what if you had young children who frequent the park, what are the pervs doing just sitting in their vehicle? Taking pictures, video, or God knows what else?

They don't just do it at Davis Park, they do it at North Belmont Park as well.

I have no idea what they are doing, but I have at times sat in my car when I was out of town away, and between meetings.

My guess is that they're just killing time and don't have anywhere else to go or don't want to go home.

es, I understand that what you say can be a possibility, and I'm sure some of the time that is exactly what goes on "Killing Time", but still there does remain some skepticism.

Sounds like some type of love trist. However, Davis Park is not exactly discrete. North Belmont Park works well for this, and you can blend in with the white trash and Mexicans!!

The police will respond to a suspicious vehicle report just like any other. It could be a sexual predator waiting on kids to show up so yes you should do the responsible thing and call the police.

Could it be drug deals? Lots of cars coming and going in and around here all hours of the day and night!
