I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE GIRLS SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION, THINGS DOWN THERE ARE ALL ONE SIDED, AND IS ALL ABOUT WHO IS ON THE BOARD...YOU SEE, THE WAY I SEE THINGS DOWN THERE ARE LIKE THIS..FIRST OF ALL THEY SAY NO ACOLHOL, BUT THEY HAVE A BOARD MEMBER WHO IS WALKING AROUND WITH BEER IN A POWERAIDE BOTTLE, NO SMOKING SIGNS WITH A COACH AT FIRST BASE SMOKING WITH HIS WIFE ON THE SIDELINES GIVING IT TO HIM, WHILE SHE IS SMOKING HER OWN..AND THEN THERE IS THAT LITTLE SOFTBALL TEAM FRANKLINTON POLICE DEPT., THAT I FEEL WAS TOTALLY DISMISSED BY THE WHOLE BOARD, THEY WHERE TIED FOR FIRST WITH MOSELEYS..FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND, THE BOARD HAD TO VOTE ON THE WINNER BUT THE OTHER COACH(MOSELEYS)IS ON THE BOARD....THAT LITTLE TEAM FRANKLINTON POLICE DEPT. WON FIRST PLACE IN THE PRESEAON TURN. BUT WAS NOT RECONIZED, THEN TIED FOR FIRST IN REGULAR SEASON, THEN PLACED FIRST IN POST SEASON TURN. ONCE AGAIN THEY RECIEVED NOTHING MORE THAN A LITTLE MEDAL THAT DID NOT EVEN TELL ON THE BACK WHAT THEY WHERE FOR, HECK ANY PARENT CAN GO TO A STORE AND GET THE EXACT MEDAL, MY CHILDREN HAVE MANY LIKE THE ONE THEY GOT BUT ATLEAST, WE KNOW WHAT THEY RECIEVED THEM FOR, THIS ASSOCIATION NEEDS TO LOOK AROUND AND SEE WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO BE THERE FOR, AND IT IS NOT JUST THEIR GIRLS BUT OTHERS GIRLS AND IF THEY DO NOT CHANGE THEY CAN BE INVESTIGATED AND SHUT DOWN...AND I ALSO THINK A TEAM SHOULD WEAR A UNIFORM NOT A SPORTS BRA AND BIG TANK TOP LIKE I SAW ONE OF THE BOARD MEMBERS DAUGTHER WEARING WHILE PLAYING ON THE TEAM AND CATCHING, IT WAS SO TACKY..IT WOULD BE OK IF SHE WAS MOWING THE LAWN BUT NOT WHILE BE A ROLE MODEL FOR SMALLER GIRLS..HER PARENTS SHOULD HAVE MADE HER PUT CLOTHES ON, BUT THEY ARE BOARD MEMBERS, LIKE I SAID THEY NEED TO BE TAUGHT HOW TO BE GROWN UPS A WELL, AND THESE ARE THE PEOPLE WE TRUST OUR GIRLS TO, HELLO WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE...I AM STARTING TO WONDER IF WE SHOULD LOOK INTO TAKING OUR DAUGTHERS WHERE THEY CAN LEARN NOT TO ACT AS THESE PEOPLE DO, THERE ARE RULES IN LIFE AND YES YOU SHOULD FOLLOW THE RULES NOT MAKE THEM UP AS YOU GO ALONG...

I think FGSA (ASA) is going down the toilet and in a couple of years we may not even have a soft ball assocation and all the girls will be playing baseball.I also wittnessed the smoking and drinking. They are such great role models let me tell you with the drinking, the smoking, and the clothes... Way 2 go Washington Parish!!!

I am a softball player for the Franklinton Softball Association. Although, things may not fit your needs, it is the best they can offer. I do not accept the way you all are talking about this. No one, by no means, is perfect. Everywhere you go people smoke, and drink. So what if Jessica Crowe didn't have her uniform, she didn't even know she was suppose to be playing. Have you never forgotten anything? We do the best we can do, living in such a small town. Though, things may not meet your needs; we all enjoy ourselves. We're out here to have fun, and do what we love doing; play softball.

Okay, so this is two teenage girls who play softball for the Franklinton Softball Association. One of us has been playing since she was three and the other has been playing for a few years now. We love the Franklinton Softball Association and we definately don't think it's right for people who don't even have all of the CORRECT information judging it. Obviously if you're not a part of the association you have no clue as to what exactly is going on. And, yes, there are some people who break the rules and do things they're not supposed to do, but if you say you've never broken a rule you're most definately lying. And at least they have rules in the first place regardless of if everyone follows them or not. We have so much fun playing softball for this association! Next time you go digging for bad things to say about someone or something first try getting all of the facts. Then look at the good things they or it do. Either that or keep your very wrong opinion to yourself.

T0 those of you who agree THANK YOU, you must be a parent, to those of you who don't you must still be children, I agree fun is what softball is all about but there are ways things should be done...as for information it is first hand, no second hand things here I have two daugthers playing at these fields for 11 yrs...I have watched as things have went to pot, the fields look good don't get me wrong, but respect for the children is not there unless you brown nose....many families have lung problems aka as asthma, there are signs up no smokings, then a coach walks on the field with one, come on now...these rules are for our health more people don't smoke than do..kiddos I sure hope you never have a lung diease...I can only pray that one day you children will relize that smoking and alcohol should not be done in the presance of small children, these coaches are suppose to be role models, but if these are ours, washington parish sheriffs office will never be out of work...GOOD LUCK girls and see you at the fields..
