Succinctly, "I'm too important to be prosecuted".

REPEATED HERE FROM SENTINEL OP-ED THAT "DIDN'T EVEN MAKE THE INTERNET VERSION":

Richard Saunders Top Commenter Santa Cruz, California
Here is a civics lesson for the left in America who like to throw temper tantrums and break the law and then complain when the state actually has the audacity to prosecute you for being a criminal:

1. Just because someplace in America somebody does something you don't like that doesn't justify your own criminality.

2. Poverty doesn't justify being a criminal.

3. Your left-wing ideology doesn't justify you being a criminal.

4. Calling yourself a journalist while engaging in criminal acts doesn't justify being a criminal.

5. If you fail to get your political agenda passed at the ballot box, that doesn't justify you being a criminal.

6. Blaming all your political and economic failures in life on the rich doesn't justify your criminality.

7. Criminally taking over commercial property that you don't own won't solve the homeless problem and is not legally justifiable any way you look at it.

8. If you are going to rant and rave like a maniac about your constitutional rights to free speech, free assembly, and freedom of the press that means you also accept the US Constitution in it totality, which means you also respect federalism, elections and property rights and reject mob rule.

9. Camping is not a constitutional right.

10. If you have complaints against the government, at least have the courage to Occupy where the politicians live and leave the rest of the public alone. Not once did the Occupiers Occupy Jerry Brown or Kamala Harris, attorney generals of the State of California. Jerry Brown was Attorney General while all the banking problems occurred and the left rewarded him with the governorship, which demonstrates to me that the Occupier left will leave the politicians alone, so long as they are liberal Democrats.

BECKY: You sure are throwing around the word "criminal" a lot. Who makes the laws other than rich, white men? Who do the laws protect the most? Rich, white men. Who signed the Constitution? Rich, white, men. So get off your high horse.

It is a CRIME to bear false witness against your fellow human being under color of law.

In my case specifically since I am completely innocent of all the charges DA Bob Lee has made against me. And against those who did carry out the symbolic, non-violent, community-enhancing, temporary, and harmless occupation of an empty bank building owned by the 1% and "managed" by Wells Fargo.

Who is making our community less liveable? A huge, mega-corporation bank that has foreclosed on honest citizens, engaged in sketchy legal schemes that have damaged our overall economy, and which have left this vacant hulk right in our downtown for years on end providing no jobs, no revenue, and no services?

Or a handful of activists who have day jobs mostly, who, in their spare time, attend meetings, parades, and events and report on them?

It finally made it as an afterthought.

What a pile of manure!!!

No Robert, you're not being persecuted for being an "Activist".

You're being "PROSECUTED" for your criminal activities.

Besides, you're not any kind of "ACTIVIST", you're a do-nothing blowhard that claims to be an "ACTIVIST" so you can exploit the misery of the dregs of society for your own evil, self-serving agenda.

You're not anything resembling a real "Journalist" either: You have no College Degree. You have absolutely NO record of any type of employment of ANY sort, much less of that field.
Bellowing your crackpot crusade over a low-level and illegal Radio station(with a listener audience in single digits) doesn't qualify you either.

But none of that is going to matter, when you are headed for jail.

Is it now the turn for the country to be run by a stupid, fiscally irresponsible, obese white woman (namely YOU) riding backwards on your burro.

DBS WRITES: "No Robert, you're not being persecuted for being an "Activist". You're being "PROSECUTED" for your criminal activities."

BECKY: If by "criminal activities" you mean he entered the bank to report on the newsworthy event, then you have a warped sense of what constitutes "criminal activities." If what Norse did is illegal, then arrest Jessica Pasko and Schmuel Thayer for doing the same thing: entering the building in order to report on the newsworthy event.

In my own case, I'm charged with two felonies and 1 misdemeanor for standing on a public sidewalk.

If THAT is criminal, the 1st amendment is truly dead.

Stop lying you flabby fool.

You have absolutely ZERO idea about who had the PERMISSION of the property owner to enter the PRIVATE PROPERTY.

We know that Robert Kahn-job didn't, that's WHY HE WAS ARRESTED!!!!!!

And YOU were STUPID ENOUGH to post a photograph of him doing it!!!

There's a difference.

Those two are real journalists. You and Norse are not. You just call yourself "journalists". And that's a claim that won't stand up in court. Get ready, BECKY, a judge will declare in court that you are no more a journalist than any of the other things you say you are.

How many times have we seen this same stupid charade over the past years? A bunch of ignorant fools get goaded into flooding, burning, breaking into a building, and/or vandalizing and then they and their equally ignorant leaders claim innocence! As a poor liberal laborer I would love to see them all thrown in jail. These fools have done more to destroy the OSC movement than anyone else. Like Oakland, THEY are responsible for the damage and costs to the municipality, not the banks , the cops, the courts, the local governments, or Becky's evil "white rich men". Prosecuting this gang of malicious fools may be costly, but it will send a clear message that we don't tolerate their inane pseudo-anarchist crap in our town!

Hey BJ, did your stupid-ass denial of the facts help you during your screeching-on-the-sidewalk trial?

What makes you think it will help you this time?

You know what they say, "Nothing breeds success like failure"
I think that was the 'word on the street' from Pancakes.

I prefer Lee's approach, "If at first you succeed, try, try her again."

Well, BJ is an expert on breeding AND failure. In fact, her entire life can be summed up in those two words.
