Katy Abram wrote: I know that this has been an extremely heated discussion nationwide. Both sides are very passionate. There is one thing we all want...we want our fellow citizens who cannot take care of themselves (or afford healthcare) to be taken care of. But here is the difference between the two sides-how do we do this? I believe that looking to the federal government is not in anyone's best interest. Medicare and social security are on the path to insolvency. Common sense tells us that if those cannot be sustained for the long term than how can we afford another program? If you do not agree with the unconstitutionality of this then let's leave this decision to each individual state. I believe it is unconstitutional...as are many programs that are already implemented. But they are already in place and there is nothing that we can do...so let's tackle what's currently on the table. As for the personal attacks, it is par for the course. I'm numb to it. If you want to discuss issues that's fine but attacking a stay at home mom and calling names is immature and pointless. Let's stick to the facts. We all listen to various media. I, personally, read a lot. I look to history for many answers to todays problems. History has a tendency to repeat itself. Now allow me to go to the topic of the political parties. I am a conservative. I firmly believe that there is a slew of corruption on both sides of the aisle at all levels of government. But there are also a lot of wonderful people working within this machine of government. We (Dem and Repub) need to support those people. As for the corrupt politicians who are in this for themselves, we need to remove them from office each election cycle. I want people representing me who stand on priciples not power. With that said, please take care of yourselves and I wish you nothing but the best. Oh now you want to have a calm discussion?? Wasn't it you who was yelling at Arlen at a town hall where you were supposed to ask questions about healthcare reform? You didn't even ask him a question. You were there to obstruct and detract from the entire conversation. Shame on you.

...i'm sure my principles are completely different from your principles. I'll continue to vote for mine and you can continue to vote for yours. That is what is so great about a democracy.
Time will tell who is on the right side of history. I'm pretty sure it's going to be the left. The republicans are a dying breed. They couldn't get a majority vote from anyone under the age of 25 if they paid them each $100.00.

Doesn't mean the history books are true or right.

Gee I don't remember Katy yelling and I do remember her asking Spector a question so maybe you should go to YouTube and listen again without the comments from CBS, NBC or ABC to taint the facts.

Here's the big question, how did she get in? How? because nobody knew her.I could have camped on that sidewalk for 2 weeks and they surely would not have left me in. This whole Specter business still amuses me to no end. Wake up people Specter isn't going to do any thing for you. Why, because it starts at the local level and works up, it does not start at the top and work down.
