Council finally saw on August 5th council meeting Odinez was running on real issues so they took up his issues with city contractors doing bad work on street construction all over the city. That's a win for Odinez. His problem was he started too late and a lot of residents who voted absentee did not know who he was or what he stood for until it was too late. Council and Chris Rays sandbagged him on his issues with the city because they knew he was running for council
yeah ok, a real turn the election candidate. Help jack waste 50k of the cities money..

If Jerk Off Jenny knew anything about the political arena, what actually do you need a primary for anyhow. You can do the same at the General Election as you can at the primary. All it is, is process of elimination and that can be all performed at one election. The police Union as well as this administration wanted the primary because they knew it would be a low turn out at the polls and this would favor the Police and Fire Millage. Think before you write rubber nuts, now let your mother finish me off.

jackie don’t try to get out of it..if you weren’t serious about running cuz you knew what the results would be , then don’t run you EGOMANIAC. If they knew there would have been no primary for officials ,they surely wouldn’t have put this on now. It would have been a rallying point for the “no” people. Fool
You wasted 50K over your ego, you stoop..Think next time.

<quoted text>You must really think Mr. Downey took this election serious, well when you stop and think he put up four signs in the south end, never made one council appearance except for meet the candidates night and didn't vote himself actually how bad do you think Mr. Downey feels. He didn't have any political parties working for him, his choice didn't have any special groups or gay groups backing him, he just ran on his name in the primary, however did state that if he made it through the primary he would kick it up a notch, now he don't have to do anything and is happy. Another thing no one can ever blame Mr. Downey for the bad turn our city has taken in the past three years. Lock your doors and sit in the dark, thats the days ahead for SCS, like he has said in the past on many occassions this will be called "Highland Shores" before you know it and I'm sure you remember him saying that 8 Mile Rd. and Harper will look like Chalmers & Warren in Detroit in three years, he's not far off on that statement. You can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear SCS is going backwards day by day, mark my words. Just one little instance why hasn't the SCS SGT. be named in the personal robbery in Detroit however the two officers in Detroit was on the news tonight, because out here they are still trying to paint that rosey picture. LOL Have fun!
Are you telling me Downey helped piss away in a election. ounds like it. What a fool .Thanks jack for making the General Fund 50 K lighter. Dont run if you dont take it serious

So let me get this straight. If there were only six candidates this year the only reason there would have been a primary is because of the police/fire millage? If that's correct then I guess the police/fire are very grateful to Downey and Ordinez for running. Had they not run it looks like the police/fire would have been solely responsible for the primary election and the associated expense to the city and taxpayers.

The police and union pushed to have their millage on the ballot so
they would ensure passage because they knew absentee voters many of whom are seniors and in fear of crime real or not as well as a history shows there would be a low turnout at the polls. So no matter what the manipulators of the facts said before or after on this site that's a fact. So no primary candidate would have caused the expense to the city the millage was already in place before any candidate filed to run.

The police and fire was up and would have been on the ballot in Aug if there were more than 6 people running, or in Nov if we had 6 or less people running.

I heard that he only had 4 signs for the whole city. Same ones that he's used in all previous elections. Just like Jack the signs are fading away.
