If you saw the City Mgr on the news today he stated that Saint Clair Shores is a safe city. What do you think?

If you want to feel safe in the City of Saint Clair Shores, then just remember three simple words.

"SMITH and WESSON"

You won't be disappointed or sorry.

So many of our SCS friends are purchasing weapons. Though I do not have a problem with people arming themselves it is kind of sad.

Yes it is a safe city. As long as you are a criminal. An arrest made after 70 home invasions in one area of the city. And it took 6 months to do it. Come in to St Clair Shores and comitt 69 home invasions and you are safe.

It is not a safe city. Far too many break ins and armed robberies. If you are planning to move do not move here. If you have a problem or question no one in city hall will call you back. They treat their residents very poorly. No one has our back!

Just like it took over 6 months to bust the perp dumping nails on south ends side streets causing thousands in tire damage.

I agree. Customer relations tend to fall short, leaving much to be desired. Unfortunately, they don't seem to view us as customers but as annoying little minions. That's how it feels, anyway.

Move some place safe with no crime like Eastpointe, Roseville or Warren

No do not move here. We have City Council members (2)lying to get into homes, take pictures of your home and then identify the home and show the whole city the pictures and why they think it should be demolished. It is just shameful. DO NOT MOVE HERE YOU WILL BE SORRY!

Glad to see that someone else knows that Tiseo is just as guilty as Vitale for going into that home.

Tiseo is nothing like Vitale. Tiseo cares about this city. Vitale cares about himself.

The administration will lead you to believe its a safe city but don't believe it for a moment. There is crime going on all the time in this city but no one wants to admit it. They make it sound like its a real nice spot to retire in, God forbid you are in for a rude awakening. Home invasions, arm robberies, car theft, break and entry, assaults, hold ups, how many bank jobs have been pulled off in the Shores in the past three years, beauty shop, restaurants, don't tell us SCS is a safe city its terrible. Those fast Dodge Chargers just can't seem to keep up with the bad guys, but they are great at pulling over some old grey haired person who lives here and issue tickets for minor infractions and then ask them to donate for Cops for Kids, its a total joke out here. (Give them a raise).

Regardless of how Tiseo cares for this city, he was 100% wrong going into that home with Vitale. He should be held accountable for what he did.

What other city in America do the council people personally patrol vacant homes to make sure things are safe?

What other city in America cares enough about your kids to keep them out of the street and put them into workout rooms?

What other city in America can it be debated honestly that we don't need no stinkin' new courthouse - maybe because there is such little crime?

What other city in America responded so quickly to the threat of foreign-made death sticks (known on the street as "fireworks")?

What other city in America is putting more street lights in (after taking them out)?

What other city has councilmen who care so much about city hall audience safety that they perch high on top cushions during council meetings like lifeguards?

What other city in America refused to move trick-or-treat night to the weekend, so as to avoid angering evil Hall-o-we'en spirits?

Do you think it is just the Shores that has an increase in crime? If you do, take a good look around because it is everywhere. Other communities along with Saint Clair Shores, try to keep it quiet, but people talk. Chesterfield Township, Grosse Pointe, Royal Oak, and Sterling Heights...to name a few, have their fair share of crime. You cannot run from it and arming yourself with guns is not the answer either.

People have to do their part as well as the police. Call on something you don't think is normal.
