There was a woman that was hit in the head by a rock that some MORON threw off an interpass. She will be injured for life. Doesn't anybody care about this subject? Maybe the next time it will be YOU or someone you love. Does anybody know how I can locate the woman that was injured so I can at least send her a card letting her know that somebody in this world cares about her?

Rockon: there are plenty of comments about this story on the local news sites. Trust me, I live in the Cincy area. Everyone here is upset and thinks that the culprits, when they are eventually caught, should be charged with assault if not attempted murder. This young woman is in the news every day here. They keep giving us updates on her condition. And there's a rally/fund raiser for her in the works. Check out the local sites before you start accusing locals of not caring, please.

I don't live in Cincinatti. I only heard about it from news on the internet. Since then I have written to the newspaper and thru this topix trying to find out an address where I can send a card letting her know people from all over are praying for her. But I cannot get any response. This same thing happened to me in 1997 in Alabama and I know how much it meant to me and helped me to receive mail from people I did not know showing they cared about my situation. I am glad this news is in your newspaper and it should not be forgotten. I hope they find the person that did it. In my case they did catch the person and he is still in prison for doing it. So if anyone could tell me where I can write to this person please let me know. Thank You..everyone keep praying and thinking about her she will live with this the rest of her life..I know I have.

She was released from the hospital yesterday, I think it was. Maybe the day before. Whatever day is was, she's home now. I don't know that they've ever provided a way for people to contact her, unless of course they could send cards to the hospital in her name while she was there. I just know that they're planning a fund raiser for her this weekend, to help with her medical bills. Family friend/spokesman has said she isn't ready to face the press or public, yet, but is grateful for everyone's prayers and concern. None of the other local stations have any other new information. This site lists the fund that has been setup to help her out. You might just want to visit the comment sections on her story on this site to say what you want to say to her. I'm pretty sure the family checks it out.

This just needs to happen to a gun toting citizen and it will be all over. Just shoot in the direction the rock is thrown. If you dont hit em you'll sure scare the $%^& out of them. Obviously this is the work of little heathens without parental supervision.

They've arrested one kid (16 yrs old) and are looking for another one who's 18. The 16 yr old confessed and gave them the other kid's name. They're charging the 16 yr old with felonious assault, though I think it ought to be attempted manslaughter. Guess they don't think they can prove that the little punks reasonably KNEW that they might possibly kill someone while pulling their little stunt. Anyway, at least they've made a real break in the case.
