Thank you to everyone for coming out and supporting me again this year. Special thanks to Bermudian Springs and Tim Stonesifer for writing this article. The Bears and money are still coming in but we should hit our goals.

This was a beautiful article ~ as well as a wonderful event. Prayers for the families that suffer, and those who try to make it better for them.

Abbey, you and your family are wonderful examples that there are still kind, generous people in this world. My heart goes out to MacKenzie's family. Thank you, Evening Sun for such a touching article.

Abbey, if we could only have more young adults like you, who recognize the need of love in the world what a far far better place we'd live in. Thanks for showing us what true "giving" is this time of year.

Amen to that. being involved in school activities, there are a few more people like that its just the media does not recognize them. I think they should give the front section of the paper or the 1st 10 mins of a news broadcast devoted to young adults and children that do try to make a difference in the world for at least 1 month instead of who shot who, who got busted for drugs, which government official promises something that isnt ever gonna happen, etc. maybe that would help in changing alot of thoughts.

I have to agree with that. The more articles that I see before the event happens I am more likely to mark my calendar to be there to support different causes. But alot of times I don't see the story until after the fact and it is over. But thanks to The Evening Sun for getting those stories out there.
