My daughter is about the same age; fortunately we homeschooled already, but the activities dropped off as did Cara's and diagnosis was slow (we thought), taking almost 2 years, then the treatment was difficult and our lyme doctor was two states away. She is much, much better now, but it has taken a toll on her. Like Cara, she is looking forward to life ahead, but has had to realize some added limitations due to the health issues brought on by Lyme. We are thankful to God to have her and for bringing her through the terrible pain and suffering she has endured with Lyme. Still, people are skeptical and really don't seem to want to know that Lyme can be so bad. Go figure.
