Feuding families cause riot of about 300 in Ala.

Four people have been arrested and one is at-large following a feud between two families that spilled into a riot involving about 300 people at Marion's municipal complex.

This story is laughable. I don't think there are even 300 people living NEAR Marion, AL. The 3300 number must come from the entire surrounding counties. Also, the article notes Judson College, but it doesn't talk about Marion Military Institute, which is a mile from the town hall / center.

BTW, Marion isn't redneck territory. Marion is in an "African-American" controlled area. It's about 30 minutes NW of Selma, AL, and about 30 minutes NE of Union Station, AL. This area is called the Devil's Triangle in Alabama. There's VERY little industry of any kind in the area. The main money coming into this area is welfare and drug trade. The officer who was in charge of drug enforcement in Marion, AL is a twin brother of the one who was in charge of drug enforcement in Selma, AL. About 7 or 8 years ago, they were both arrested, along with hundreds of other officers through the "Bible Belt" / "Black Belt" on drug traffiking and selling charges. They were part of a VERY large drug traffiking corridor.

I am so glad I moved to Philadelhia to get me one of those fancy educations. I might have lost my Pick up truck but now I ride the train. This is awesome. I just did a search. I think they were black because it started playing basketball and was followed by a drive by. Any who the town has Four police officers. And details are sketchy but is says that the police chief and the mayor were involved in the fight. Funny thing is the police chief proably is the mayor. A shame. Nobody has faith in the judicial system so they take it into their own hands. I wouldn't object if everybody just had brooms. Might even be fun. But tire irons and baseball bats? Somebody could get hurt! Five bucks says liquor was involved.

The funny thing is that if you went back far enough, you'd find they were all cousins to some degree.
