Um, excuse me? Just why is the Monterey Bay Aquarium inappropriately dictating the salmon season?

Unknown to many there is such a thing as "the right to fish." The state can set the terms of when you can fish but it cannot totally outlaw fishing. I would also guess, however, that the noose of government and regulation will do away with such rights in the not-to-distant future; and I'm sure the "Marine Sanctuary" status of the Monterey bay will entagle all even more if it hasn't already done so.

I think the the eight-day allowance on the heals of a blocked season was to prevent a lawsuit by those in the fishing industry with enough clout to be able to afford a lengthy lawsuit.

The Monterey Bay Aquarium is the temple of the fish god,Dagon. Dagon protects the sea and rivers on our planet. You can pay homage to Dagon in the Aquarium by going to the fourth window on the east staircase. Talk to the woman, not the man and say "Is there any hope for the mermaids son?" You will be escorted to a room full of mermaids and sea dragons. Bring fresh salmon from Phils Market with some mint as an offering. There enlightenment begins and your journey to understanding the planets fish problems starts.

Some of you need to read up on why the Monterey Bay Aquarium is sitting in a vacated sardine cannery. Especially some of you commercial fishermen.

Best fish I ever had was one I bought off a boat in Pillar Point and cooked 60 minutes later. I'm going to go down to the SC harbor and see if I can get me one for the holiday. It's too bad our grandfathers and fathers had to f*ck things up with the water diversions and messing with mother nature who can be a mean b*tch. Hope my boy gets to taste wild Pacifc salmon some day, but I doubt it.

Go to Washington State.
They at least have the smarts to make things work.
Take your boy with you and enjoy everything Washington state has to offer.
Less taxes, better government, smarter government, fresher fish, cleaner streets and cities, friendlier people.
