Man killed, woman hurt in I-81 crash

A Dunmore, Lackawanna County man was killed and his passenger injured in an alcohol-related crash in Kline Township, Schuylkill County, last night.

There's no way my brother was drinking. He was smarter than that and he was an excellent driver. That statement shouldn't have been printed, personal opinions should not be reflected in public news.

wehter he was drinking or not drinking the fact of the matter is a family lost a son, a brother, and grandson etc... The toxocology reports are not going to mean anything, I feel terrible for his family alcohol or no alcohol involved there still was a life lost.

Obama Slaps Lou Dobbs

CNN anchor Lou Dobbs is taking criticism from all sides for his hard-nosed stand on illegal immigration, with Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton jabbing at him from the Democratic side and a top aide to Sen. John McCain joining in from the Republican side.

On "Lou Dobbs Tonight," CNN correspondent Bill Tucker notted that according to the Nevada chapter of the Service Employee International Union of Nevada (SEIU), "we think that immigration is a broken system and one of the reasons we are excited to endorse Senator Obama is that he understands Americans' are ready for a change. We are excited for him to be in the White House to start making those changes."

Commented Tucker,“Perhaps Senator Obama warmed their hearts in mid-December, when he responded to a question on immigration with this comment:‘We're not going to be able to solve the problem if we're just shouting about it, you know, like Lou Dobbs and folks on television.’”

Tucker added that Clinton “even mocks the seriousness of the issue,” quoting her as saying,“ There are even some commentators who are doing extremely well for themselves by making this a very hot issue; but ask yourself, does all that hot air solve anything?” in an obvious slap at Dobbs.

Said Tucker,“The dismissive and derisive nature of the comments is not limited to the Democrats. Senator McCain's chief political strategist seemed to mock the opposition in defeat of McCain's amnesty plan saying that quote,‘even Lou Dobbs' throat got sore screaming for so long.’

“The candidates seem to have forgotten that the Senate's idea of comprehensive immigration reform and amnesty inspired bipartisan outrage from voters. Now, surely the candidates can't believe that the voters are full of just so much hot air, can they, Lou?”

if lou stuck to the facts, Americans are hiring illegal immigrants, and therefore causing the problem, he would be more effective. But he is a racist and hates Hispanics because it will cost him his job to hate blacks, so he had to take it out on someone.

TULSA, Okla.(AP)- Congressman Dan Boren says he expects federal legislation on illegal immigration is likely after the November elections.

Boren told members of the Tulsa Metro Chamber of Commerce he believes the legislation will take the place of state and local laws aimed at illegal immigrants.

Boren says the legislation will likely include either some sort of "path to citizenship" for illegal immigrants or legal residency. He says immediate deportation of the estimated 12 to 20 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. is probably not feasible.
