We all know Section 8 is a major problem. Don't you think it's about damn time somebody tried to fix the program? What if Section 8 could be turned into a home-buying program as opposed to a renting one, would people be in favor of that?
It just seems like such a simple and obvious solution that I don't know why nobody has ever suggested it.

Section 8 should be done away with, period.
Either by assisting with renting or owning is not the issue. The biggest problem with Section 8 is that it brings in the type of people you really don't want into your neighborhood!

This won't be fixed. Some of our representatives own section 8 houses.
