Invision HR has always had a bad reputation. It is rumored that this company color codes their files to indicate the race of the applicant. In addition I haved heard they knowingly work illegal immigrant workers.

Hopefully this info was not sold before it was dumped to cover the sale.

I hope a few things happen because of this:

-I hope that this staffing company is put under scrutiny and review by every government and association that they would fall under. Where there is smoke there is fire and it is my guess that this company has a lot it does not want researched.

-I hope that their customers and associates are concerned about their affiliation with this firm and take their business elsewhere.

-I hope that an aggressive attorney somehow files a "class action" lawsuit against this firm on behalf of those whose files were discarded and wins a large settlement that basically puts these bozos out of business.

-I hope that the City comes down hard on a PD that shows a huge amount of apathy and lack of respect to its citizenry. What does it say to your city when you have to have a TV station force you into resolving a major community issue.

-I hope that this good citizen who called the police and then went beyond the call to inform others is somehow acknowledge for his perserverence.

there has to be penalty of some sort, if there can't be a fine,, then find the person who dumped the personal information in the garbage for all the world to see and take their picture and put it out for all the world to see..

Until laws are beefed up regarding PII, not much will be done about this.

Now, if it was medical information, then under HIPAA regulations, it would have been considered a security incident with potential fines/penalties.

I am kind of surprised that a lot of the medical and financial PII laws have not been adopted for standard PII. Would at least make more folks cautious about what they are just dumping.

I am more upset about the police not wanting to do anything! This matter should have been dealt with immediately and they should have filed charges or at least alerted the public. This is a disgrace to the labor industry as well as the police department who does not care.

It is good to be concerned about the files but it is not a police problem. As far as I know it is irresponsible for the company to throw the files away, they should be destroyed but it is not a crime. Maybe something the company can be sued for but not a crime.

Instead of being upset at the police or even the company, you shold be upset at your representatives in the legislature, it should be a crime to treat sensitive data like this and we shold be able to lock down our credit to protect ourselves like residents of other states which has laws allowing their citizens to do so.

Being a former employee of InVision HR this does not surprise me at all. On numerous occasions we were insrtucted to just "Throw away" personel files. Even when it was explained to the "Boss" that this was not proper procedure, we were instructed to still throw them away, what did she care it wasnt her personal information. I am very happy that finally someone has caught up to her and truly hope that this will come full circle on her.
On another note:
"Invision HR has always had a bad reputation. It is rumored that this company color codes their files to indicate the race of the applicant." I can also say that they are still color coding. Green = Hispanic, Yellow = Caucasian and Red = African American. I think that if the police really wanted to take the time to look into the files they will find that this is the correct coding that they use.
Honestly I wish there was something we could do about this. But chances of anything happening is slim to none. The "Owner" always seems to find a way out of legal binding issues.

So they provide a service and put people to work and try to jeep people from sitting on there ass and collecting a check and they find ( mexicans ) work and you are complaining, you got issues!

Sad state of affairs that the files got out, I would like to think it was an honest mishap, I mean the world is so quick to point a finger where is the love?

What goes around comes around!! Oh honey please - could I tell you some stories!!! I have so been there, done that...Worked w/your previous "boss", that is. Especially love the quote about the "owner" always finding a way out of binding issues. How true! With the owner, there has NEVER been a regard for others. I'm just disappointed there were no legal charges that could be filed. As with most situations, it is usually the smallest thing that can bring down a person after years of conniving, lying, manipulation and I can't even say the one I really want to say! I don't believe for ONE second that the cleaning crew threw away those files. And those crocodile tears - save it! Anybody that believes a word she says should only be forewarned!
