We bought our beloved frenchie from this kennel in February '05. They always said that they would forward us her papers, but they never did.
She recently passed away from a congenital neurological problem at the age of 5. None of the medication she was on could control her seizures. She was a sweet dog, but it is too sad that her life was so short. We are looking into frenchie rescues as well as new breeders, but I know I will do much more research this time around.
You never know what you are going to get with a dog, and I know they couldn't know about the congential time bomb in our dog's brain. It's just really sad that it happened.
What were some of the warnong signs of this with your pup or were there any? We have had a ton of issuses with our frenchie and I am hoping this doessnt end up one othem as well

FYI, they don't get their dogs from Russia! I brought my own frenchie back to them for breeding...I know where those pups came from! Good lord...if you ask them, they are happy to tell you who redman (amongst other's) lines are from and they can back it up. If you reviewed your paperwork, art guarentees his pups for 2 years, I have never had a problem with Max, who was also trained by him. We're in Kansas now but will purchase another pup when ours are older. I've referred friends (one of which is a celebrity) to them. They are educated and humble people...I've been in their home, I know them...

We bought 2 French Bulldog puppies in Feb 2005 from Jenart Kennels. They were both horribly ill with vomiting and diarrhea for 3 months after we got them home. Paid thousnads of dollars for the 2 pups, never did receive any papers, phone calls and emails were not returned.
One dog was just diagnosed with a brain tumor at 5 years of age, and had to be put down just this past weekend. We are heartbroken and would not do business with this kennel again.

We got our male puppy in February 2005 and I feel very fortunate he is healthy. I didn't do much research on Frenchie breeders before I stumbled upon Jenart. Guess I'm very lucky that everything went smoothly, sure could have been a lot worse. If I ever have another Frenchie, I'll do a rescue thru the French Bulldog Rescue Network. They are an amazing organization and truly care for Frenchies in need. Good luck to all.

Does anyone have any information on JenArt Kennels? They raise and sell French Bulldogs and English Bulldogs in Ellenwood. Thanks
I wished they were not still in business. Many many health issues. We bought 2 frenchies in 2004. When we picked them up the "beautiful farm" the parents were raised on was nothing like they portrayed. We were not permitted into the kennel area because of "new pupsin the area" They had already introduced us to our loves s=and we had wired the $$$ already. We took our babys home and they were the loves of our life. supposedly bro and sis although we have always had our doubts. MANY health issues our male died 2009. We have spent over 15,000.00 on our female. Bad genetics. She is off to another specialist Fri not good. Puppy mill is all I can say Shady operation. Don't get me wrong 2 of the most special dogs I have ever had. Love them with allmy heart and soul but in my opinion and with my experience they are not responsible breeders.

We are experienced breeders (of another breed). We acquired a French Bulldog from a friend that bought him from these people. While the dog is nice, I would NOT recommend them. Our friends were not happy with the way they were treated. And I have had NO luck in trying to work with them :(

Same people that operate Jenart kennel also have training facility named Premier K9. Spent well over $4,000 with them and never got anything but garbage without papers... Very very bad! Stay away from these people.

They had very good marketing skills. The website for the K9 training was very impressive as well at the time.

This kennel is being investigated by the state - he has a K9 Business on the side with aggressive dogs. Absolutely do not buy a Frenchie or anything else from them!!

We almost did and are thankful we found a reputable breeder.

Hi,

I am wondering if your dog is still ok? We bought ours from Jen & Art 5 years ago too. Mine has suddenly developed bladder cancer and I will probably have to put her down. I LOVE her so much and she is the sweetest girl. I have seen a lot of health issues in the comments here and I just wanted to hear from you about this. I thought very highly of both Jen and Art and am just astounded by all these negative comments about them.

We bought our Frenchie about 5 years ago and only paid $1500 for him. He is a show type dog, never no problems and I am asked all the time to breed him. Perfect dog both looking and temper, wouldn't trade him for the world!!!!!!! I have seen alot of Frenchies and they are not like him. Stop hating and take care of your dog!!!!! I live in Springfield , Ma. and would buy another Frenchie from them anyday! You want to sleep he'll sleep, play he'll play and not a piece of fat on him!!!!!!! Could not be happier

We bought a puppy from them 8 yrs ago. Our little puppy had nothing but medical issues and sadly passed away from lung cancer. I have no respect for these breeders.
