What does the Senate do when they receive a bill from the House, specifically the one you mention?

I am sure...all this partisan bullsh*t has gone both ways for years....but a huge difference, is that House republican's decided to block any legislation that would have eased our country's economic recovery, because they wanted to make the President look bad, and keep him from a second term.....To me, that is over the line.....

There are differing views on how best to further economic recovery. Maybe something will break loose should the Senate offer up a budget proposal.

Go Blue Forever wrote: <quoted text>Really wish both sides would just set their political bullsh*t aside, and start governing solely for the good of the country and american people..... ....not likely anytime soon, given the climate of hate being promoted by so many political party lovers, politicians, talk show radio hosts and even media outlets. I believe the current two-party political system is in complete ruins. I believe anyone who clings to the notion the current crop of elected officials in Washington, be they Republican or Democrat, gives a damn about the average working American is a complete fool. I believe if voters continue to stupidly fight to ensure candidates from only the two major parties get elected America is destined for the same fate as the great Greek and Roman societies. I believe the jack*ss notion that anyone who doesn't gravitate to one of the two major parties is a "fence sitting non-factor" is ignorant at its base and does nothing to help begin the process of moving the country towards the kind of changes that are needed if we are ever to return America to its former place of greatness. I believe until we demand quality, honest, intelligent candidates and leaders we will continue to be given inferior, unworthy (lesser of two evils) candidates from which to choose. I believe the two major parties long ago abandoned the noble concept of a government "of the people, by the people and for the people" and will never return to it…unless voters drag them - kicking and screaming - back to that governing concept. I believe many - not all, but many - voters are too stupid, too uninformed and too beholden to a particular political party to make sound, fair, open-minded voting decisions. I believe too many (so-called) American have chosen hatred, intolerance and paranoia over compassion, unity and hope.

Another facet to it all is....even though both sides contribute, the right is much more prone to blame the liberals or the left for much of the exact division and mean-spirited friction, that they, the right promote the most.....guess it is just to throw everyone's attention off of what they are actually doing.....truth be told, i would bet the majority of americans fall somewhere in the grey area between the extremes....
