More than 6 people were arrested, many innocent people! Everyone in the building was arrested, most have been treated unfairly. Some of them, it was their 1st time there. So was this right? In my opinion definately not! This was wrong the way it was handled since there had been an undercover investigation. Many innocent people were arrested, I think that should be talked about and people need to look more closely at the way sheriff Victor Hill of Clayton County is doing things! This is violating peoples rights!!!!! He should be the one to lose his position because this is another investigation that was handled wrongly. Many of those who were arrested are still in jail, have not went before a judge, and they have families at home. This is what people also need to know!!

Doesn't matter. Those of us who play for big money were warned ahead of time and the game was moved to Roswell. The bust was nothing but a dog and pony show for the church ladies.

The raid by the Clayton County Police was in Rex Georgia. Highway 42 doesn't run through Morrow.

Well I am glad you were warned! What about those who are in jail at the moment who new nothing and was at the wrong place obviously at the wrong time! It does matter, they have families at home.So I guess, as you put it, I hope the church ladies enjoyed the dog and pony show! And for the time being, there are those doing what they can to try and get their loved ones out of jail while the sheriff, Victor Hill, keeps his head held high with all the attention he got himself on TV! but people should know that there were people there who definately, should not have been arrested!!!!!! Unfortunately, it's legal to arrest innocent people- YOU ARE ACTUALLY GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT and by the way other businesses in the area have the same things going on in them-Should we expect to see more of sherrif Victor Hill on TV for some more gambling raids??!!!

I was just released today after being arrested in "Clayton County's big gambling bust" spawned by Victor Hill's sad and pathetic attempt to clean up Clayton County. Friday Nov 30th (also note it was the end of the month - who says they don't have quotas) about 25 or so people were arrested after a joint task force stormed in to a local billiards location called "The Break" (I'm not 100% sure of the business name seeing it was my first time there). I was there to shoot pool and was actually sitting on a couch watching a basketball game when a group of masked men stormed in the place forcing us all to lie on the floor face down, pointing guns at our backs, yelling "lay down on the fucking floor and keep your faces down." We were then placed in some kind of rope handcuffs and forced to sit on the floor lined up along the walls for 3 hours while they searched the place and questioned us. They brought in computers and printers and took everyone's information and confiscated all of our belongings. I personally asked to see a search warrant and was told they didn't have one it was "on they way." I then asked if we were being arrested and was told "we don't know yet" when I asked again later why I was still there in handcuffs if I wasn't being arrested I was told "oh your going to jail tonight for sure" I asked what for and was told "we don't know yet, but we'll find something." (Keep in mind they still haven't read anyone their Miranda rights yet!)

So after sitting there in cuffs for three hours while the police went through the building finding "cool stuff" (a projector and large screen) they could use at their office to "play Playstation on" (this was discussed by a white fair-haired middle-aged gentleman everyone kept calling chief and one of the masked taskforce agents, a white male with a large nose and scar in his right eyebrow) and looking up legal codes that might could charge us with (they had a thick red book of law codes) we were finally taken down to the Clayton County Jail on Tara Blvd. where finally at around 5 a.m. we were told we were being charged with misdemeanor gambling, and we would have a bond hearing that morning at 9 a.m.(we still haven't had anyone read us any of our rights yet!)

So at this point I am now officially out on bond for Gambling (a misdemeanor at that!) and I just wanted to say "Way to go Victor Hill! You've succeeded greatly at cleaning up Clayton County by arresting a bunch of pool players! Way to get all of us (hardened criminals and deadly POOL PLAYERS) off the street!

I'll help ya out here, kiddo. Get in touch with the ACLU and find the name of an Atty that's willing to go the distance. Do NOT give any written or oral statements to the authorities!!! Play your cards right and you can invest your winnings in your own pool table in your new home. THINK!!!

PS.....the moment they try bluffing you, raise the stakes! Mental trauma is worth a few hundred thousand in court. They are counting on you not having what it takes to call them at their own corrupt "game"!

BELIEVE ME, I am definately going to be talking to whoever will listen. Peoples rights were violated, nothing was right about the way this was handled. As Deanna mentioned above, it was her 1st time there and she was not even read her rights(she didn't even do anything!!!!!)My loved one is still in jail at the moment,we are working on trying to get him out!(It was also his 1st time there)he was playing in a pool tournament(not uncommon!)No rights were read to him as well! There are issues here that need to be persued that does not pertain to those who were arrested!! This was MOST DEFINATELY A CORRUPT "GAME" and people need to know about it!!!

I was at The Break Friday night and was arrested. I’m a professional pool player and I play pool every day. This is the biggest out rage in the history of gambling. Maybe some people were in the wrong, and some were innocent, but when its all said & done it was all a big waste of time and no real criminals were taking of the streets. If gambling is illegal then how come no one is arrested for playing the lottery? If the video machines are illegal how come gas stations every where have them? Guns are carried for protection that’s why the guy working the door had one. Clayton County makes this seem like a big gambling ring when all we’re trying to do is have a little fun and stay off the streets. Ever since Victor Hill has been in office he has been making big mistakes like terminating sheriffs and making unnecessary raids. If Clayton County was smart they would elect a different sheriff to help get the county back on track. There’s more stuff to worry about in this world besides gambling. Clayton County has the most corrupted law enforcement in Georgia and should be investigated. Also the Drug dogs used in this bust need to be retrained or retired because some of the cars they said were positive for drugs turned up empty. 98% of the people were innocent and will beat the gambling charges due to lack of evidence.

P.S DO NOT RE-ELECT SHERIFF HILL

Victor Hill on TV again busting up illegal gambling operations. Thats funny! Tell me how a pool tournament is a illegal gambling operation? This is nothing more than political propaganda! You must remeber that Victor Hill has done absolutely nothing in office for 3 years but cost tax payers millions of dollars. First he comes into office and fires over 20 people for no reason. That ultimately was settled out of court for millions of dollars that the tax payers had to pay. Then they were given their jobs back on order of a judge and then employees were subject to nothing more than racial harasment by Victor and high ranking so-cslled officers that were in through the back door - helped him get elected buddies. Now readers, you remeber that many people dont know Victor was fired as a officer in South Carolina because he couldn't even fill out a police report correctly. He has been nothing but a problem to the other commissioners the whole time hes been in office. He was elected as sheriff simply by the color of his skin and not his qualifications. Its re-election time and now were seeing more of Victor than ever before. Where have you been until now? Why did I receive a e-mail from your office that you would be setting up road blocks in my neighborhood to get rid of the drug dealers? How did you get my e-mail address? How do you even know where I live? Now thats political propaganda at its dumbest! Victor your out busting legal pool tournaments for your own personal agenda. You may fool your own people but theres alot smarter out here. Good luck on trying these political propaganda cases before D.A. Jewel Scott. Now thats inept at its worst. How can a divorce lawyer that has never tried a case before be elected as Distict Attorney? Its by the color of her skin and no other reason! Readers this is nothing more than political propagada at its worst. And sadly enough It's only gonna get worse. But election day is coming in Nov. and the people will speak. They may re-elect you by the color of your skin Victor but they need not complain when taxes go up because the inept sheriff that they elected has cost the citizens so many millions of dollars. Victor get off your power trip and try to reduce real crime in Clayton Co. that has sky rocketed ever since you have been in office. Clayton Co. is a very dangerous place to live just watch your late local news.

You all haven't learned yet that georgia has one of the most corrupt police departments around. They say it is not illegal to have machines but it is illegal to pay out more than 5 dollars for winnings. That only shows that the state doesn't know what it is talking about. They pay out millions for lotto winners. But I guess they don't call that gambling, even though people spend a lot of hard earned money in the hopes of winning millions. I say we need a revolution like egypt and run our whole government the hell out and start all over..put some poor people in office and I'll guarantee the country would be better off.
