It is only going to get worse. Expect it rise to close to $4 per gallon by Memorial Day, just in time for the peak summer driving months.

Big Oil profits hit new national record.

Retirement and the Carolina Coast can't come soon enough. Fish all day & bike around the island. Leave the gas racket behind.

Yeah, and unfortunately my wife and I are planning a road trip to visit her brother in Iowa that weekend (our first such trip in years).

Forget about the prices MDW and take the trip. Iowa's what - 600 miles from here? Two tanks more or less.

Don't let the cost of gas get in the way of something you will probably only do a couple of times in your lifetime.

This too shall pass, and if it doesn't, then it doesn't.

Oh yeah, believe me we're going. It's just painful that we're probably going to have to budget literally twice as much for gas this time around.
