This is not about the ridiculous light rail plan that TTA (Triangle Transit Authority) tried to propose back in the late 90's. This is more like a commuter rail from Charlotte to Raleigh. If any thing Charlotte took TTA to school and showed them how to do light rail.
I doubt TTA will ever get thier hands on light rail. The plan was doomed from the beginning because it involved passengers to take (on average) 2 buses to get to the light rail stations in the Raleigh and Durham Areas on top of the lines running all the way around Raleigh and Cary just to get to RTP versus going directly to RTP. Hardly anyone would have used TTA's Light Rail if they did go ahead as planned. On top of that TTA is run the most sour, man hating lesbians on the face of this earth. Trust me on that. I used to work for TTA.
