I know that Carol Wood sold it a few years back and moved. I've been there once since then and they didn't have nearly as much as they used to and the clothes weren't as cute either. I also know that Mary and a couple of the other girls quit soon after Carol sold it. Too bad, I used to LOVE to spend my money in there!

I used to go in there and dress in womens' clothes and dance around like Buffalo Bill on Silence of the Lambs.

I heard they were behind on their rent...if they are opening up somewhere else...why not post it. I know people who want their clothes that they are having altered or in lay-a-way.

Yes they have closed for good due to the economy. I am sure if you give the owner a call she will be more than glad to get you your stuff.

Here are the FACTS about Polly Kay:
1. Rent was paid every single month and has been to date.
2. There is only 1 layaway left at Polly Kay. It has been there for 1.5 years waiting to be picked up once it is paid in full.
3. There is also only 1 pair of pants in alterations. However, the customer owes a significant outstanding bill on her account.
4. There are quite a few individuals who owe the store a substantial sum of money on past due accounts for a lengthy amount of time. This was a contributing factor to the store's closure.
5. With this economy, Polly Kay is simply going to wait it out and see what happens. They would love nothing more than to re-open in the near future.
6. In the meantime, Polly Kay is planning to have a sidewalk sale to clear their merchandise. Prices will be discounted significantly, so if you would like to attend, please watch out for further postings.
7. A hearty thanks to everyone who supported Polly Kay in its Morristown tenure. It has been an institution and its closure an unfortunate sign of the times.

Love the Post. People love to think the worse and believe it. Much rather believe a lie and a rumor. I have shopped at Polly Kay all through the years. This is such a shame. Small retail is just hanging on by a thread!!! She is a wonderful person..a wonderful family. Let's pray that this failing economy improves.
