Cna's usually just stand around when the nurses do the real work.
omg you have no clue, cna's work themselves to death!! I don't know how anyone could say a negative thing about how hard they work. They deserve so much more

My dad was at Heritage. The nurses adn the CNAs were all great. I had no problem at all out of any body, never even suspected anybody of taking pills or doing drugs. BUT I made an appearance there at random times and I was involved with my dad's care. I also was involved if I thought any other resident needed something. The CNA's and the nurses along with all the support staff work very hard. There are bad eggs everywhere. That does not mean they are all bad. I agree with going out and visiting. some of these elderly people have no one ever visit them and that is sad. The only time they see their "family" is when it is time to sign their monthly check so their "family" can have it. A lot of them in the nursing home consider the nurses and CNA's their family. Just go visit. Spend an hour. Spend two. Once a week, whenever you have a free hour. You will touch a life and be glad you did.

They are all good people there, the ones I know and have met. Go by and see for yourselves. Visit an elderly person.

Heritage does a wonderful job and is leaps and bounds above other nursing homes in the area. Our family has been very satisfied with the care my mother receives.

Until you have had a mom or dad in a nursing home for years you have no idea what goes on in those places. The elderly do not have a chance and these facilities will all but close in the future under obamacare. Death camps will be the standard replacement. Have a nice day and enjoy what is left of it.
Close under Obama Care? No Idea what goes on? If you good for nothing generation X kid would take care of you aging parents and stop wanting to pass off you people on to the system, you would not have to worry about Obama Care or how someone else treats your parents who you only come see one day a month. If you dont care, why should anyone else??????

You seriously need to get a clue. I have put in several years as a can in various places, but one thing I know for sure is in a nursing home the can does almost all of the work (feedings, baths, rounds, vitals, changing beds, getting people dressed and putting them to bed, taking residents out to smoke along with all the emotional support we give) while nurses sit behind the desk doing paperwork pushing around a med cart. Hell half the time I had to fill the nurses ice pitcher up on her cart! So please check your facts before you go blasting away because I'm here to tell you cna's don't make nearly enough money for the hard work they do and all the emotional pain they go through also.

Seriously Vickie Brooks, who works in laundry at Heritage, you can use all the aliases you like by moving from NC to FL and wherever you hide your posts.. All you are doing by jealously slandering a pretty fellow employee on TOPIX (which is low class on this thread)is proving to all your co-workers you are truly phsyco.. Just saying.. Go ahead and keep your jealous slander going.. I will just read and feel sorry for you girl.. Just remember.. it's not where you are from that makes you a bad person, it's who you are..
