if Jonathan was being served, WHY IS HE THE SERVER?
WHEREAS, JONATHAN MARK HOLCOMB of Hamblen County, Tennessee, executed, acknowledged and delivered to Kenneth Clark Hood, Trustee, a certain Deed of Trust dated the 5th day of August, 2008, and of record in Deed Book 1324, Pages 265-274 in the Register's Office for Hamblen County, Tennessee, to secure a certain indebtedness owing to GreenBank, now known as Capital Bank, N.A., and more fully described therein;

When you take out a loan on a piece of property you give a deed of trust to a trustee to hold for the mortgage company. If you don't pay your bill, the trustee sells your property and usually the mortgage company takes ownership or someone buys it and pays off the mortgage company.

The only way this makes it to the paper is if he was at least 3 months behind paying his office note. It is in fact a foreclosure sale notice and nothing else.

Not that it is anyone's business, there is no foreclosure involving Mr. Holcomb. It's no one's business what he does or doesn't do with his money, and he is not losing any property, home, business or otherwise to foreclosure. As for losing trials, every attorney loses trials, it has everything to do with a clients who are either guilty and/or clients who give statements/confessions and nothing to do with his ability as an attorney. He is an excellent attorney and he comes highly recommended from many, many people, other attorneys included. Mr. Holcomb is also a good person. Anyone would be lucky to have him as their attorney and as a friend. It's a shame that people get on here and speak of things that they know nothing about, about people they know nothing about and hide behind a computer screen and fake names. These people should be worrying about themselves and their own problems, rather than sticking their noses into other peoples business. How is going to make anyone's life any better to get on the Internet and spread rumors and talk bad about people?

Holcomb is great at what he does. I recently found myself in a bad spot. He took care of it...even though I didn't have the money and let me work off the fee. Due to my words being twisted by a third party he is mad at me but, I will say this "Johnathon you saved my ass and I appreciate it". I will never speak bad of you (contrary to what you were told) He has a good name around here for a reason. So if you are so concerned with his office just stop in and ask him about it in person sometime .vs asking random strangers online under a random username.

Losing trials? That means he is trying cases and has experience. He defends people charged with crimes; the defendant is likely to lose. The question is often "What charge is the defendant found guilty of?" I wouldn't worry about newspaper reports about convictions. I'd worry about not being willing to go to trial. Best way to find a good lawyer is word of mouth, and the people here who actually retained JH are recommending him.

Best to get someone out of Morristown. Sadly, it appears as though the lawyers in this town are knee-deep in with our system here. I know someone who had Holcombe & he was a money pit. He didn't do what he said & he cost an arm & leg.
