NOT my first choice. O'Charley's is good, but the Little Dutch is much better.

Davy Crockett has really gone downhill; I would really recommend Golden Dragon (chinese), or Akita (japanese)

Overall, I have to vote for Hillside Grille. It does take some time to get the food to the table, but it is very good when it arrives. Their bread is hands down the best in town. Little Dutch is also one of my favorites, you can't beat their salad bar. The Angelos clan knows how to do food.
As for quick eats, Hillbilly Cabin, Ronnie's, and Davy Crockett.
The chain restaurants are hit or miss with their food, never consistent quality.
Fast food has to go to Pals, Chik-fil-a, or Zaxby's.
Pizza has to be Pizza Inn (mainly due to the buffet and variety) and Papa John's.
Sorry, I had to categorize!!! And these are just my opinions!

There are no nice dining establishments in morristown. The local clientele can not support anything nice.

not really. food is so "old timey" that it tastes like it's been in the kitchen for 30 years and they heated it up & brought it to me. not that good!

Davy Crockett? By Akita? On the hill? YUCK!
That is one of the worst & most disgusting places I have ever eaten at. The mashed potatoes are BAD imitation and the gravy tastes so cheap that I swear you can taste the cheap nastiness.
Ate there once to try it out and it was the WORST I have ever had.
Ruby Tuesday & Applebee's is good.

Thai garden isn't that good. Almost like a old, dusty place that no one hardly eats at.

Golden Dragon is the best for Chinese in this town, without a doubt!

Know what you mean. It's ridic. What a shame.

But I did see where they are turning that "Tops Buffet" into Wasabi... like the one in Knoxville I believe?

fast food is fast food no matter where its from, mcdonalds soy garbage, kfc gut strippers, whopper hut, hardees, little siezures, poppa johns, it doesnt matter, fast food is fast food. its just a matter of what falvor processing you want today.

applebees and ocharlies are corporate mandated menus from a boil in bag, so not much for good food there either.

for "chinese", the golden dragon is okay, but only if you get there either during or right after the rush, same thing for golden corral, boil in bag mass produced fodder.

thai garden has been consistant with quality, and not been disappointed there yet.and everything ive had there has been fresh.

of course breakfast at the hillbillys cabin is always a good option, but the instagravy kinda shoots it all to hell. dont really care for the little dutch either.

justins is a joke, same for the hillside.

so im gonna have to agree with jake on this one, the best place i know to eat is at my own house. i know the kitchen is clean and the food has been handled right. and if i dont like it i can talk to the guy that cooked it. but im not so sure that talking to myself is a good thing.

The restaurant at Baneberry Golf Club used to be an excellent choice. It's been a while since I was there, but the lemon chicken was marvelous.
