Does anyone know of Jeff Simpson? "Bodean" I am so happy that he is the head coach this year! You would not believe how much this team has changed since he took charge! He is a great man, and is amazing with the kids! Anyone that is familiar with the MYSA football!

oz is a good football coach and he needs to be the one running mysa because matt sucks.matt will tell you one thing and do another.put a 12year kid on a team so that falcons have to forfit if they win i guess he realizes that oz can take a team from nothing to super bowl winners. great job matt for getting rid of a great coach a** hole.

*shakes head* and *rolls his eyes*

The MYSA i guess is a good thing. And would have to agree who's running it needs to be booted out. Sucks that the needed changes cannot be made. I've only had a short time to be around Oz. Which coaches my son on the falcons. Oz for all intents and purposes is a good and great coach. Actually cares about the players ! Actually works hands on with them. For another person to run Oz off due to the other guy having poor ethics and judgment is harsh. Hate to see Oz go. Good luck in everything you and your wife do !

Tennessee Cottonmouths are awesome. They hit harder than any team i have ever seen for kids. And there timing on offense is great.

And who won the super bowl last year ? Timing and hitting hard do not insure the team a win. lol... good luck all you MYSA footballers !

Yep typical MYSA mentality kids are not being coached fundamental football techniques. Ask most of the middle school coaches they will tell you the majority of the kids coming out this program have horrible skills and understanding of there positions. To many dads coaching there boys and no nothing about football.
Our kids need more than there rec league hero dads coaching.

That is true it is know from our coaching staff at the start of the season we win and lose with class. We don't show boat or play dirty. In our last two seasons we have played almost all of the teams from Knoxville and the English Mountain. We have earned there respect by not running up the score and embarrassing the kids, We dont get into running our mouths with there fans or refs. We go play clean hard hitting football. If Persona thinks hard hitting fundamental football they should ask the number one team in the nation whom we played in Knoxville there take. The coach from Ohio was sitting around talking and we were all talking and he made the statement that fundamentals and technique wins every time. I guess it comes down to the fact do you want your child to learn football that will benefit them throughout middle school and high school or just win a Superbowl so mommy and daddy can brag!

Did not appear to be what you where talking about in the post i quoted. You mainly stated who and what you did. It was confusing for me anyway. I agree that fundamentals and technique go a long way to making/having wins. Heart also plays into this factor. Coach Oz preaches and practices both concepts every day we practice ! As a side note. I honestly do not think my children will play any rec league sports after the football season. Would love for them to have these opportunities. But have issues with the way things are ran. And certain aspects of the whole situation. Till the MYSA shapes up ! My family will be shipped out !

6, and 9 in Dec... and a 10 year old. The 10 year old can be hard to work with at times. By following what doctors say, he has adhd. Never heard of that while growing up. So do not fully lend myself to his diagnoses. Loves plkaying ball though !
