The income taxes were higher under Reagan than they are currently under Obama. Ronald Reagan raised taxes almost every year he was in office but us Republicans are quick to forget. We always say that current Presidents should be more like our old friend Ronald Reagan. Well, If you want Obama to run the country like Reagan did then raising taxes is a big part of that. After all, for seven of Reaganís eight years in office, the top tax rate was higher than the current rate. In six of those years, it was 50 percent or more. And every year that Reagan was in office, the bottom tax bracket was higher than the current rate as well. So we keep saying that Obama wants the country to go over the Fiscal Cliff. Well, that is just because he is trying to be more like our favorite President Ronald Reagan. Republicans and Democrats need to wake up and open their eyes. Instead of just blasting the other side because they are the other side, why don't people get smart about it and accept the truth. Don't make up lies to say bad things about the other side just for the sake of doing it.

Yes a very nice post, don't forget, in 1993 the GOP was preaching gloom and doom about Bill Clinton's tax increase plan, just like they are now about President Obama's plan. And many of the same people, guess they forgot how it turn out back then....

I believe that President Ronald Reagan also reduced some of the government spending on social programs (welfare). I would not mind paying higher taxes to reduce the national debt as long as the number of career welfare recipients are reduced!

He did that, but also increased the homeless quite a bit, because he cut spending to low income housing...

If these "career welfare" recipients are thinned, won't crime increase out of sight? Just a thought..

You remember Obama's assault weapons for Mexican drug cartels? Reagan honestly couldn't remember but Obama hides behind executive privilege while Hileary 'bumps her head'. Like Obama doesn't have some thuggish folks too? Pffffftt..whatever. We can play the hindsight game with Reagan but the jury is still out on Obama. The "Honest Republican" likely a closet Democrat.

Iraq invaded Kuwait, if my memory is correct. That is the reason they got their @$$ handed to them!

By the way, President Clinton invaded Somalia and got involved in Bosnia.
