He may have been good 15-20 years ago but.........
Chris Smith at A New Image is still AWESOME!!!
He's the only person who ever cuts, styles, colors my hair and I always leave happy! I trust him enough to let him work his magic and have never left disappointed. Always have lots of compliments about my look and style and just got new hightlights last week and I'm still getting a ton of compliments. Chris will ask me what i want and I tell him, "just go with it". I always leave feeling "sassy".

Melanie at A Cut Above (next to eastside Walgreens). She always gives me a great cut, very reasonably priced too. I don't have highlights but I referred my friend and they turned out WONDERFUL!! I hate the dyed hair look and my friends highlights look natural, not overdone, not brashy. Just gorgeous!

Do you have big hair and use alot of spray. I don't think Chris has done anything modern since late 1990's.

A good hairstylist isn't going to be cheap... they pay for continuing education, hair shows, high quality products, etc. They work very hard, and a good one is very hard to find. There is a lot of creativity involved. So my point is anyone can go to beauty school, but that doesn't make you a good hairdresser. Its called talent and it isn't cheap. So if you find one you like, then I'm sure shes worth the cash.

I totally agree. I don't care to spend money to get a great color and cut but the sad thing is there are so many girls coming out of school now without experience or really the talent and they are doing bad hair. The result of bad color and cut is you are basically screwed one way or the other. Hair makes or breaks a person I hate to say it but it is the truth.

Stay the heck away from JP salon, they have one stylist who it's a matter of time till she really messes someones hair up and it falls out. Wait and see. The manager instead of floating around the store with her head thrown back in the air, needs to get a gripe on that nasty place and get rid of people who obviously think they know what they're doing but don't have a clue. Everyone mark down what I've said, it's a matter of time till someone has a valid and big major issue with a do.

Don't go to Shear Structure. They're overpriced butchers with their heads up their asses!

I'm beginning to wonder if there are any real hair salons in Morristown. Drive down a street in Knoxville and you see a billboard that says - if you see a hair style you like, chances are we did it. Then you watch channel 8 news (I think) and see the name of the salon who does the do's and you say, gee that hair cut sure is pretty, gee that color sure is great. Then you begin to think about all that fried, over dried, over processed funky hair around here and think, gee maybe I should leave town to get my hair done. To be honest, this fruit cake nut has been doing my hair lately and honestly she has a frigging mind of her own forget what the hell I want. I looked at my hair the other day and thought what the hell is my hair color, no one can tell, why does my hair look worse than when I used to perm AND color a hundred years ago. Honestly I think she has ruined my hair to the point it's ready to all out. I guarantee if I told her my complaints she'd have a reason for it and it likely wouldn't be her sorry ass lack of ability.

I got highlights at Shear Structure and I'm pleased with it. The little girl who waited on me was very friendly and sweet and the shop is nice! I'll go back there.

Anyone there who is better than the rest. I'm telling you I look like the bad side of trash, my hair color is awful, if you looked at me you would say chick that just don't work for you. I cannot tell you how many blends there is but they are all bad and shouldn't have been all those colors. This looney toon for some reason seems to think this will work, then it doesn't and she does something else. My comment to her if she's reading this stuff, stop conjuring up in your mind some frigging hair color that would look good. if you haven't mixed this or that before and know how it's going to look stop using me and others as your guieny pig. I'm telling you stylists who do this crappy job stuff end up hanging themselves no one wants to use them
