Now you can send out those holiday greeting cards and know you aren't offending or excluding anyone:

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all.

I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2010, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the Western Hemisphere .

Also, this wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee.

By accepting these greetings, you are accepting the aforementioned terms as stated. This greeting is not subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for herself/himself/others, and is void where prohibited by law and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first, and warranty is limited to replacement of this wish or issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher.

Good point! It should probably say both orientation and preference, in deference to those who preach abstinence, lol

Nice Renee. Are you the author? I just sent it to a couple of show performers in Las Vegas who I know will get a kick out of it.

Why Thank you very very much Renee,.How very thoughtful.I in return, wish you and your family the same.Oh by the way, I am still going to put up a "CHRISTMAS TREE" and not a "holiday Tree" this year,as so it might still infuriate some though.

No, sadly I can't lay claim to it. One of my friends on the forum I moderate posted it. I have no idea where its origins lie/lay(?), but I told Eddie to consider it rogued.

I wrote the greeting this is taken from in 2001, based on a small item I saw on the web. I expanded it and included as much as would fit on the page. It was printed on heavy parchment paper and had the terms and warranty in fine print. It was mailed in plain envelope, unfolded. It didn't include any reference to America's greatness and I don't think that adds to the greeting.

I only thought to look for it online in 2016, thinking it was lost forever after I inadvertently gave my last copy away. It's out there, though, and that's great. It was a pleasant surprise to see how far and wide it has traveled.

It was a while ago and it was sent out from two of us and it was "for our best wishes" and because we were not entirely heterosexual I used sexual preference. I see in Bearlyfit's comment that sexual orientation would have been better.
