Just wondering if anyone knows of a place in Morristown that would by my old records. Mainly 70's music/bands. Looking for more of a record dealer to get the best price out of them. Thanks.

Well, I contemplated that idea, but it just seems like a lot of hassle mailing out hundreds of records to hundreds of different people. I kind of wanted to get rid of them all at once. Was hoping for a record store somewhere.

You might try CD Swap Shop across from the mall. I don't know if they deal in Lp's or not.

a dealer is not going to pay top price, you need a private collector. the Swap Shop used to do LP's. There were a few places in Knoxville... basement records and another one.

Thanks for the tips, guys. I will look into those and do some calling around.

The main reason I wanted a dealer was because about a year and a half ago... me and my aunt went to an old garage sale and bought about 15 records for a dollar a piece. We met this guy, and I CAN NOT remember the name of the store he said he was opening in Rogersville... but we met this guy and he bought them all for around $120. Lots of them were no-name bands. Guess I can't get that lucky again, lol.

If you find out anything, post it on here because I have tons of albums and 45s that I need to get rid of.

Why not contact an antique dealer? Perhaps some of them are old enough and valuable....perhaps you should get them appraised?

You can sell them as a lot on Ebay....Why not list the names in your auction? Or, just tell them a few of the big names you may have, and leave the rest to the imagination? That's what I would do! Don't list them all separately, it would cost a fortune, and you wouldn't make much. Im telling you, you'll make more on there than you will at a pawn shop or record store.
