Missedit wrote: <quoted text> I agree with you, it should be on a Saturday..And a bigger celebration it would be. It is usually cold and rushed for anyone to get there by 6 to be in the parade...I sure do hope they will change it to Saturday. Why don't someone suggest that to whomever is in charge, and maybe even get a petition, if needed! will not happen on a weekend like most towns because the leaders here are too drunk or at swinger parties on saturdays

Therefore, in that aspect, I'll keep referring to it as a Christmas Parade and a Christmas Tree, Christmas Lights and so forth.Thanksgiving is also recognized as a holiday here in the U.S. Though I just can't fathom hanging turkeys on a holiday tree for Thanksgiving.

SoulSista2012 wrote: <quoted text> You are offensive to me. there is a difference in a person being offensive to someone than a public funded event promoting one religion over another. Today I saw where a town in California was forced to not have a nativity because "Christians" kept vandalizing other religions displays because they wanted theirs to be the only one displayed. It is Christians like that, who make it hard on others and end up having all the displays and names changed to something ambiguous. I believe that Xmas should be used as it keeps half the original and removes the more offensive part even though if researched a person would see that x can meas chri. I see no problem with christmas tree because it is part of the christian belief just as a Jewish menorah is part of their system. but a public parade celebrating all holidays should not have christ in it. That implies the local government is endorsing the christian religion. Holiday encompasses all beliefs and special days this time of year.

Grow up and quit acting like you're 3 years old! Quit fighting and enjoy your life! You never know how long you will even be here on this earth. Enjoy your family and friends and quit wasting your time arguing and getting upset. People take everything for granted these days. I get up every day hoping that I can see my family and friends at least one more time. When your health is bad it makes you realize how some things are not worth arguing over. Enjoy the time you have! Enjoy just being here. Friends and family are everything. Enjoy them today because they might not be here tomorrow!!!

She will hear the truth by kids that know Santa Satan is lie from hell sooner or later. She might just grow older and believe you lie to her about Jesus also. Why don't you do the right thing and let he hear the truth from you?

Let people choose what they believe is right for their own family. Quit trying to run their lives for them. We always had santa as a child. We had fun. Quit making everyone elses life as miserable as yours. We never thought of our parents as liars. We appreciated how they went to such a great effort to make us happy. Quit putting everyone elses decisions down and go crawl back in your hole.

The word of God should run the lives of the family and it says lying is sin. My life is happy in knowing Jesus and standing for truth on all things. Your parents were liars no matter what you thought. Wonder why your parents didn't want the credit for the gifts they bought? Why would they want a man in a red suit to get the credit for what they did for you? I'm back in my hole know.

You cannot tell me that everything that has ever been said to you by your parents has always been the exact truth. If you say they have been totally honest about everything that has ever happened in your life, you are full of **** or you have been totally brain washed. Santa is all in fun. People are going to have different views on some things, so get over it. My parents gave me a great childhood. My Mother would do anything for me. She is such a great person that she would probably give even you the clothes off her back if you needed them. So don't judge my Mother! God is looking down on you and wondering why you are putting other people down if you are such a Christian.

We believed in Santa Clause as kids, and I love my parents for not bragging and patting themselves on the back by saying they were the ones to give us our presents. Even when we were old enough to know the truth, we pretended like we still believed, for them. I am married now, and it was my wife's and my decision to raise our children in the truth. We told them the history of the real St. Nick. They also know the truth about when YAHSHUA the Messiah was born (hint: nowhere near December, that is His conception date). The month of His berth is in the Bible If you start with the month of Abbib, go through the course of Abia, etc.... Don't worry about the town atheist on here, he/she will be burnt in the lake of fire with the Kenites when Father Yahveh has his angels (reapers) pull the tares from the wheat in that day. And it would've been beret If it was on a Saturday. It was hard getting our boys to the Cub scout area on time after getting off work. But Father Yah was with us and we made it in thine to try to bring some smiles to les fortunate kids. Praise Yah and hope y'all have a safe and very happy CHRIST-x,

Everyone has their own opinions on what is best for their family. Others should not put people down for that. People are taking things too seriously and making an argument out of it. Why can't they just enjoy their life and quit trying to upset others. There is enough stress in this world as it is. So, grow up and accept that people are different. Just be happy with your life and if you are not happy, change it!
