Isn't that also where Kelvin Williford wrecked? I believe that was in '84.
Kelvin wrecked the year before Brian. They actually wrecked on opposites sides of the road. After Brians accident, they finally put up guard rails.

I don't remember the accident involving Brian Roach. Can anyone provide more info on it? From the discussions, I get the feeling he didn't survive. I went to Meadowview with a Brian Roach and wonder if it was the same guy - he would have graduated in 1984. Did Pam go to West High?
Letting my daughter drive alone once she got her license was HANDS DOWN the absolute toughest thing I've had to do thus far as a Mother. I mean, you have to trust her as well as those she meets on the road NOT TO MAKE A MISTAKE. I was tough on her - still am - about speed, attention, weather conditions, defensive driving, and everything!(I think my fear came from the Mark Hayter accident in 1980 - he was in my freshman class at West.)
It is so tragic when young people (or anyone) loses their lives in accidents. I lost my Mom in '01 not to an automobile accicent but to a medical/hospital accident, and I know all to well about the 'what if's' that torture you!
My heart goes out to the families of those that were taken too soon.
Brian was driving his Volkswagon Beetle. He didn't survive. He would have graduated in '85.

Does anyone remember an employee getting killed at Rittenhouse in Jefferson City in 1990? David Baird graduated from East in '85. He went to work there after graduation and was killed in an accident on the job. He was 23 years old.
I remember David Baird and Brian Roach and Kevin Willerford, William "Bill" Gue and others... I graduated in '85. Knew Brian, David and Bill and considered them friends and loved them dearly. Sad to lose them all. Also, I heard that Terry K Dalton was killed in a very bad motorcycle wreck at Olan Marshall Bridge on the "OLD" bridge, he used to run around with Michael (MIKE) Wayne Greene. Can anyone tell me anything more? please... and what become of Mike?

Brian Crider is the name of the boy that got killed. I was in the same grade as him. Kris Henry motorcycle wreck. Dale Purkey was killed in a motorcycle wreck. Jimmy Brotherton was killed in a motorcycle wreck. Chad Stepp in an automobile wreck. These guys would have/did graduate 1990-1993. Recently lost Kim Helton in an automobile wreck. These accidents didn't invovle drugs/alchol that I'm aware of.
Dale Purkey was my cousin. and unless his Dad has only just done so recently, Dale's pickup truck that he cherished still sat in front of their house where Dale had last parked it.
