You better not be my neighbor and show up with one of those infernal yapping rat dogs. I'll kick it from one end of my yard to the other. Ought to be a law.

I have an un-neutered male shih tzu, 6 months old, well behaved not a barker(believe it or not). He is light brown and white, looks full bred but we dont have papers. We need to sale him to a good home who can give him alot of attention. We just can't provide the attention he needs. We both work 50+ hours a week. We bought him from a breeder in New Market for $100. I'll sale him to you for $75. Email me if you are interested and I'll send you a pic and I might be able to show you his vet exam, showing his good health.
P.S. We wont sale him if you are a puppy mill or a POS. Good home only.

Sell. The word you want to use in this context is sell, not sale.

Buying a dog from the nasty backyard breeders at the flea market is a horrible idea. They are usually sick and inbreed. There are plenty of rescues that you can get a dog from.

You better not buy one at I81 Flea Market because the papers will probably be illegal ones.

I also misspelled the word owned. Dont worry friend. Someday you'll grow out of this stage of being a Mr./Ms. know-it-all, and then the opposite sex may actually start to like you.

I thank you for your reply. But I am interested in a 8 week or younger female puppy, hopefully black.
I've never seen so many nasty comments over a request for info. Ignorant people make issues of spelling, when the object of speaking or writing is to communicate. And You and I communicated.

I thank you for advise. But puppies that lived in horrid conditions and are inbred should have a decent life too.In bree ding in Humans only ended in the 1900/s (maybe). "Rescues" are usually special breed .with excessivel high fees associated with "adoptions" If you are talking about pound dogs--they are not much above the puppy mill dogs. But thanks for the assistance. I appreciate your thoughts on the subject.

My husband and I bought a dog last year from the flea market off exit 407 the pigeon forge exit. There were people in old rickety trucks selling back yard bred yorkies that looked sick for 400 dollars, and i laughed in her face. Those poor puppies weren't even moving. Anyway, when we got in the store, we found a small, but well maintained kennel called Heavenly Belle Kennels. They were selling miniture daschunds, and cairn terriors at the time, but she said about every year or so she does get shih-tzus. Our puppy is full blooded, with a vet and shot record, and 1 year health guarantee and CKC reg. papers for 250.00.
I have always adopted my animals from the shelter, as I have 2 that were adopted from the MHHS and I love them to pieces. I too, am in the mind set that if your looking for an animal, to please visit first your local shelter to find a life long friend. But sometimes, you wont find what your looking for and some people would prefer to know the heritage of there puppy. And before anyone says anything about me breeding my dog, I recently just had her spayed, and that was the purpose the whole time. She is a pet, not a money maker. So visit there this summer if you cant find what your looking for here.

Jane, thanks for helping out the shelter. BUT, CKC papers mean nothing in the real "dog" world. Only AKC certificates are worth any money. I think you overpaid for your pup but at least you had her spayed...kudos to you!!
Some things you should know before you buy from any breeder is how old are the sire and damn, AND you must see them.
Age of the parents is crucial in determining health and temperament. Some dogs don't acquire seizure disorders for years...and a reputable breeder knows to wait to breed until they have ruled out health and temperament issues.
The back yard breeders have all kinds of sale pitches and need to rid themselves of a litter so they can go start another one.
If people will stop buying them, then they may stop breeding!
A low price on a "purebred" is no bargain if you have a dog that is sick all the time or has temperament issues....YOU will pay for those things in the long run.
IF you must have a purebred dog ( and there is no reason for that) then find some responsible breeders with a return policy if the pup doesn't work out and actual copies of health records on the sire and damn.
Petfinder.com has thousands of dogs, many purebred that are in foster homes ( and yes, they don't just let anyone have one)....they are picky and I can't blame them. They want forever homes for these dogs without any chance of them ending up in a shelter again. They mean business. However, if you get a foster dog, YOU will know more about it...how it gets along with kids/cats and other dogs and any health issues.
Please give petfinder a look-see if you want a dog....or visit your local shelter. I bet there is one there that will melt your heart.

So Frank you want a puppy? You don't care if it has a seizure disorder and you have to give it meds 3 times a day, visit the vet to get blood work so you can determine how well the meds are working? Gosh...I applaud you.
Yes, all dogs deserve a forever home, but it sounds as though you think you'd get lucky rather than have a tested/known history of a foster dog....just so you don't have to pay "fees". Wait til you get your vet bill regarding that sick pup you got for minimal bucks.
Pound dogs are excellent...I have one that is healthier than a horse. They need homes too. And why a pup?
Are you gonna take it to obedience class...walk it everyday? Clean up poop/pee? There are TONS of dogs in shelters and foster homes that come with all that taken care of...all you have to do is add love.
Let us know how that flea market pup goes....I'd love to know what your vet bills are a year from now.
No, there are no guarantees even with purebred dogs from responsible breeders....but fostered pups come with lots of info. If you can't wait on one or pass the home visit...you don't deserve a flea market dog either.

You didn't misspell sell. You used the wrong word. Twice. Not a typo.

Don't worry, you have lots of company around here.
