Does anyone know who owns that old big house on Sulphur Springs Road, at the corner of Fernwood Church Rd? I drive by it a lot, and it's sad to see it being left to go down like it is. I'd like to get in touch with the owner and see if we can work out a deal. Thanks.

Yes, that's the one. It certainly looks like something the kids would call a haunted house. But I'm really just interested in the house itself. Thanks.

Had a friend that used to live in it in the mid 80's. I think they rented it or something. He said he remebered waking up on a cold morning with a dusting of snow on his bed. I'll ask him next time I see him who owned it. I'm curious about it too.

im not sure who owns it now but the word around the neiborhood is that the guy that bought the place went to jail shortly after he got it and is still there but bobby and marie williams lived there before him and there should be some ifo at the court house cuz its a historical landmark . i think it was a hospital durind the civil war and back in october appalachian hauntings had a sign in the front yard with a number u could call to find out the haunted history and i think the website is appalachian hauntings.com

Get the address and call the Tax office, they should be able to tell you who owns the property.

Wild One & Laymon: I found the owner's name and telephone number. Apparently, the house changed hands in 2002.

Motown Girl: I found Appalachian Hauntings' website; here are three pictures they took of the place: http://www.appalachianhauntings.com/Tips_and_...
The first and third are caused by a common light-leak problem that I've dealt with many times, and the second looks like partly a reflection on the window, and partly the light fixture behind it. Nice try, though.

Thank you all for the help. And if anyone else knows anything about the history of the place, I'd be interested in that, too.

Man alive. That house was old when I was a kid. And that was a long, long time ago.

It would be great to see it repaired.

Yeah I moved out from that area back in the early 80's and it was ancient then.

No answer on that telephone number this afternoon. Someone mowed the lawn while I was at work.

Scrounger, I know how old Ed is. If it was old when he was a kid, then it was probably built by Mayans.

It's my house and it's best if you all leave it alone .... I'm not going to sell it I don't want that house doing things to other people like it did me ... So please stay away

Then why do you mow the lawn every week or so? Is that the ghosts' doing?

Watch yourself, Ed. It's pretty easy to get yourself fussed at in this forum.

So, Money... I'm intrigued; what sorts of things has the house done to you?

And also, would you like a hand fixing the roof? Even if you won't sell, I'd be glad to help fix the roof.

These 'hauntings' are nonsense. If such were actuall occurrances damn near everyone and their sister would have a story to tell...lol...yet as it is only one in a million people claim to have 'seen things' Of course, aw shucks none of them have any actuall bonafide evidence, do they?
Yet you complete tards still eat the tales of hocus pocu up like a yummy chocolate sundae, dont'cha?
Wow....these days there might very well be a whole lot more than one sucker born every minute.

Don't worry, I know JHH. He was setting Money up to make a fool of himself. It's the sort of thing he does.

Dammit, Ed! I was going to have some fun with Money. Don't let whiners like HR affect you; look at his spelling - he's probably eight. Oh, well.

Thanks for the tip, Just Me.
