Hello

The bible is an edited book! The catholic church, in ancient Rome, decided what went in it. Guided perfectly by the holy spirit... It was man's (imperfect) creation.

The Bible is God's inerrant, inspired Word, given through the Holy Spirit to chosen men to record. The Bible was not man's creation...but was "inspired" through the Holy Spirit with no errors or mistakes. The message of the Bible has no mistakes. The message of the Bible runs true from Genesis to Revelation. If read, and taken as a "whole", the message is the same.

I think what we need to do is just pray for this sweet family.

Chris wrote a letter to the church and it was read last week, so this is hardly hearsay - and its true it is not Manleys fault, but the pastor before him was fired and discarded because HIS wife cheated and left HIM and then her and her boyfriend (then husband) continued to go there and be loved and revered as the ex-pastor lost everything. Maybe God's sending a message?

What you say is NOT "true fact". Evidence shows that the Bible is dilluted and rewritten by men. Books were left out and others altered by the church of the time. They even admit this. The Bible was done so in a way to scare people into submission with the promise of damnnation and misery if they did not support the church both in belief and monetarily. Same holds true today. The church, once a large, single entity, has been broken into denominations and still uses the same old tired but effective tactics. The Bible is not proveable except for geographic facts. The existance of most people and accounts are hearsay at best and folklore. only blind faith leads anyone to believe. It even incorporates folklore by refering to demons and such which were around long before religion ever came to be. Read your history and you will see. Open your eyes for a moment and question what you have been led to believe since your birth. If you were born to Jewish, or Buddist, or Islamic parents, your belief would be quite different. Your religious beliefs are a product of your upbringing and the removal of choice and free will by the beliefs of your parents, nothing more...You had no choice in what or whom to believe or not believe. This is the truth.

I had/have the choice to believe what I believe. No one forced me to believe anything. I do so from study and experience. My beliefs are based on personal experience....PERSONAL...not something handed by anyone else. They are based on my study of ALL religious beliefs, and the proof that is there. Sad you've not found that truth yet, but there is always hope. My beliefs are not based on "damnation", demons, or anything else you accuse. I have stopped, many times, to evaluate and re-evaluate my beliefs. Every time, the evidence points to one simple fact....the Bible is God's inspired, inerrant Word. As for your assertions of "folklore" and "hearsay" at best, I would love to read from your sources of information. Please post these so I can further challenge what I believe to be the truth. Evidently your post describes your own life, one that seems to have been one messed up existence. Once one truly meets the One True God, and experiences His presence, there is no doubt. This I know personally. You cannot challenge what I PERSONALLY have experienced, and neither can I you. My faith is just that...faith based on what I have come to know myself through study and experience. You cannot understand any of this apart from God. No, the Bible has not been diluted over the years by all churches. Some...yes. Again, I would ask you to post your sources of information, and your experiences. I have studied religious beliefs extensively, and have found true Christianity to be the only one credible. I added the word "true", because just because someone claims to be "Christian", doesn't make them such. The proof is in their actions. No one is perfect, except Jesus Himself. I don't claim to be perfect, just saved by the Grace of Jesus and Him alone. I sin...mess up, make mistakes just like everyone else. But, because of my trust, belief, and surrender to Jesus as the only savior, and accept Him for who He said/says He is, my sins are forgiven. That is not to say that I won't/don't suffer the consequences of my sins, just that they are forgiven. This is something no one understands apart from the guidance of the Holy Spirit. If you do not have "Jesus living in you", you cannot understand. It takes surrender to Him. I'm sure this pushes you further from my beliefs, but again...that is your choice, not my intentions. You have been fed/handed a lie!

Thank you, and you also have the same right to be a complete idiot. Another weak mind taken by Dawkins teachings. Surely you can do better than playing with words. Only fellow followers of Dawkins could stoop to such childish plays on words.
Who is Dawkins? Are you talking about Darwin?

Richard Dawkins is the author of "The God Delusion", and is a "modern day" atheist. He tries to use "scientific theory", that is "theory" to prove his deluded ideas. His supposed "theories" are farther out there than were/are Darwin's!

Listen, you can't worry about other people's choices. When you die and go to judgement, the Lord will not care about anybody's issues but your own.
So, go to church and believe what YOU want to believe. Don't gossip or worry about a pastor, member, staff member, or anybody else. Church is not high school. Those days are over. Worry and focus about Jesus/God/Buddah/Allah don't be ashamed for being a Manley member because one guy went astray. No church member should be ashamed because of another person. Just worry about yourself and the Lord.
If you are upset with the pastor or the church member, then let it slide and focus on the reason you are going to church in the first place. But, if this bothers you too much, then go to a different church. But, keep the focus on Christ and not everyone in the pews. When I go to church I hardly even notice who I am sitting beside because I go for one reason....GOD.

Sometimes in life we go through things that we could have never expected to go through ...we can either choose to be angry or pick up the pieces we have left and make the best of life. We may never forget what we have gone through but we do forgive because that is what a true Christian does. I am sure this family is going through a very difficult time right now but things will get better. God will see them through when no one else is there, he will help them move forward with their new lives. Remember there are reasons for everything it is not for us to question. God has all the answers.

Actually his wife ex-wife no longer attends there. His name was Todd something, I think. She has since left the guy she left him for, and has remarried again.
