Do any of you remember any of the people that was let go over the past few years? What did you think of these people. Did mhhs make a mistake by letting them go?

I heard one was a federal agent checking on their hiring firing policies. I wonder if that was true. That would be hard to explain.

That would be pretty funny! Seeing as how I have heard a lot of people were fired or let go for ridiculous reasons!
Like the old wise saying goes "Every doggy has their day"...

Sure people remember the ones let go.
Most of them who had been there 5+ years and were great nurses with lots of experience. Very good nurses that were let go of for one ridiculous thing or another is the word around town.
Heard lots of new nurses now, replacing older more experienced ones.
Hmmm... not hard to figure out if it was a mistake or not...
Sounds like no appreciation after all those years... just to be let go? There have been a lot, everyone is talking about it all over town everywhere you go, so it's not hard to know just what is going on!
Would be funny if what someone posted above is true and Federal Agents were investigating this "Management". About time!

I have heard the same things.

Hate to tell you this, but there is nothing to investigate. Being a "Right to Work State", your employment can be terminated at any time with no notice, for any or no reason. That is a fact! As well, you can terminate your employments in the same manner. Neither party is bound by a contract (unless one exist)and therefore can terminate employment at will.

This policy is in effect to protect the employer from "middle of the road" offenses that may later on stew into a lawsuit. One issue this hospital has is the high amount of work place affairs which can lead to a very dangerous situation, not only that but it makes the institution look like a trailer trash operation... Its reasons like the above mentioned that HR takes the initiative to fire for vague reasons, which they have the right to legally do. And to the poster that said something regarding a federal agent, sorry but that would be out of their jurisdiction and scope of practice. Issues like EOE and other operational practices that pertain to employee treatment are handled by their governing agencies, not a DOJ agency.
