I agree with ya....the economy is killing Mahle and the people are cheating like crazy there. What is it with the married people cheating there? I know a woman that just broke up a marriage...of course it takes two to tango...so the guy wasnt innocent. His wife didnt deserve it!

Same thing that's happening to every other factory in America. It's being "out sourced". If you work in a factory you hear it all the time "labor is cheap in Mexico,we'll just move if you don't give up pay and benefits"! Bad car sales just amplified the problems. As far as the cheating goes, I don't care nor do I want to hear about it. If your a friend you'll write em a letter and offer to testify at the divorce. Otherwise your exposing the one you THINK is guilty and hurting the innocent one. Unless your just into gossip , who cares ?

I always think it is strange how people think. First Mahle is a German company. How do you think the Germans felt when they found out it was coming here. If they don't care to leave their own country to come here what makes you think they will care to leave here to go to Mexico?

No one seems to know what is happening to Mahle these days. Our top bracket is in a up roar. I heard that they were told they were 20 percent top heavy in Management from Germany. Well, isn't that news? They better start hiding under someone else's desk.
Now to what no one has said anything about. Shane Swicegood, Electrician on Foundry side, died this week. He was way to young to die, way to smart to lose and way too funny to ever forget. I for one will miss him, but I think the Mahle crew should all drink one in his honor he would have liked that. He made it to the text books, how many people can say they had that much courage? He fought long, hard and made an easier walk for the next guy in his shoes. For an Army (Ain't Ready To be a Marine yet)guy he sure had a pair. I hope Budda was there waiting, because he will be ready for the next journey on the other side.'til we ride horses again and drink wine under the trees my friend..
His funeral is Saturday at Jefferson City, Farrar funeral home @ 8pm, receiving friends at 6-8pm.

I hear that they are shutting down for the week of the 4th and it is mandatory to take vacation if you still have it. My husband thinks that means 4th quarter they will be wide open and this way no one will have vacation to take.

Take it from me Deward Wolfe knows his job a lot better than most. He always known how handle money and getting what is needed done. He run his own farm for years and not gone broke doing it. I take him over any coordinator Mahle has I don't care what kind of paper they got hanging on the wall.
You want to cut jobs they are a lot of people that do less in weeks' time than Deward does in one day. And don't think he as bad as you think you could have worse--take mine, please.

This woman asked a simple questtion. How bitter r u??? I don't wish this on anyone. Don't u realize how Mahle shutting down will cripple this town? People have worked their entire adult lives at Mahle. Someone must be so miserable to be this negative and calious. There already is hardly no jobs. I don't know what's going to happen. Say a prayer instead of being so MEAN. This is just awful!!!!!!!!!!

Cripple this town?
That's absurd. Don't worry, you passed the almighty Math Test you can work at Walmart as a cashier.
Mahle was one of the last ones to go down and all it's peons will be collecting unemployment for montha and months. Meanwhile when a few decent jobs open up the people who have been working just as hard as the Mahle folks but not been overpaid like the Mahle folks will have run out of unemployment and snap those jobs up...leaving the crap jobs for all the Mahle braggarts who have rode the gravytrain for far too long.
Go on tell that pimply faced teenaged freak with th nose ring who is standing next to you at the grill how you used to work at Mahle and see how he like everyone else does not care.
Welcome back to reality oh mighty ex-Mahle workers. Welcome to a world where you aint going to get paid nearly twice what you are worth.
Get used to it.

Do you still work at Mahle???? You say that you are a second shift ispect so it makes me think that you do???? Do you not go to any restaurant or fast food place because those people are giving you a service that you are paying for just the same as the Mahle people. Same goes with employees at DTR Parker or any other factory

Unlike most plants, Mahle never shuts down 4th of July. Actually I have worked every holiday except for Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. But that was before the economy went in the toilet.
