I think it could be a white or yellow Xanax pill kind of long and slender with notches made in it resembling a totem pole.

By the way, do not abuse ANY medication such as this. This and so many more pills like this can be very DANGEROUS when abused and taken with alcohol or even alone.
Perhaps if you don't know a lot about pills, then please don't take anything that is offered to you by ANYONE at ANYTIME.DO NOT TAKE ANY PILL OR MEDICINE that IS NOT prescribed ONLY FOR YOU and you alone.

Also be sure to take ONLY AS PRESCRIBED by your physician.Too many people die needlessly by taking pills LIKE THIS, and your life is way more precious than that.Do NOT throw away your life on something so stupid as pills or any drugs!!

a totempole is a 2mg xanex pill. as explained above they are in fact white or yellow in color and have notches in them and THEY ARE EVIL!!!!! without getting into too much detail lets just say i know someone near and dear to me that abuses them on a daily basis. he is a slave to that pill, and suboxone so stay the hell away from opiates also!!!!! he recently withdrew from those for about 9 days. he was like a zombie, drinking himself to death trying to overcome the withdrawal symptoms. it was so horrible he barely ate drank (non-alcoholic beverages) or bathed himself. i had to take him to the hospital on one occasion and call an ambulance on another in those few days and even bathe and feed him once. i know first hand how horrible PILLS truely are!!! stay away!!!! and of course he is no longer withdrawing because he is back on them. he was trying to get clean, didnt work out so well. and of course it is an unbelievably expensive habit to keep.

I agree, if your not used to taking pills, don't take anything that someone offers you. A friend of mine recently accidentally took an Oxycontin 40 that someone had given her. She doesn't usually take pills, she put it into a bottle with some Fenigren that she had been prescribed for nausea. One night she was feeling sick, and got the bottle of Fenigren from her nightstand and mistakenly got the Oxycontin because the light wasn't on. She pretty much overdosed and had to have someone take her to the E.R. They ended up pumping her stomach.

My point is, if your not used to taking something, don't just up and take something that someone gives you, because it could kill you.

Your right, a zanex or percocet or hydro most likely isn't going to hurt anyone, unless they happen to be allergic to it. I guarantee you though, if you give someone an oxy 80 that isn't opiate tolerate bad things are going to happen. My story was 100% true, the girl wasn't used to taking any kind of pain pills, ate an oxy 40 and it messed her up, they ended up pumping her stomach, said her blood pressure was ultra low. If you know what your taking, and your used to it, then by all means, eat ten or twelve, but for people who aren't tolerate of opiates, you should be careful.

The opening post wasn't even about opiates, it was about barbiturates. I've seen people eat twenty zanex footballs within an hour and live through it just fine, they were surely messed up, but it didn't kill them. Point is though, they had a tolerance. If someone off the street that's not used to taking pills ate twenty zanex, I don't doubt that it could kill them.

Also, you say you've done four 100 mg. morphine pills in a day, but you ate six totem polls (3 mg. zanex) and near catastrophe ensued? Either you had a high tolerance to opiates and almost none for barbiturates9270 or your making something up.

Firstly ...xanax is a benzodiapine...not a barb.
correct, very high opiate tolerance and no benzo tolerance.
No reason to make it up...sure wish I was though.

Your absolutely right, xanax is a benzodiapine, not a barbiturate. My bad, I still don't think that people who aren't used to taking pills should take anything they aren't sure 100% what it is. As I said before, small doses of xanax, percocet, hydrocodone, you'll probably be fine, but if someone that isn't opiate tolerant pops an oxy, morphine, opana, etc., there's trouble ahead.

When I had surgery on my back I was prescribed oxycontin and hydro's for pain...BEFORE my surgery. The nerve pain was making me have severe muscle spasms in both my back and my leg. The nerve was so tender I believe if someone had touched it, I would have done serious bodily harm to that person.

I would take both pills...don't remember what mg they were, and they offered relief for about 2 hours or until I relaxed and my leg touched the pillow at which time I would wake up because of the pain.

After my surgery the doc said to continue them for a week or so, but I had been taking them 2 weeks prior and I started having horrible nightmares. I knew it was the drugs.

I immediately got off of them. I didn't take another one and I got rid of what I had. That stuff is bad news.

I've never heard of pain pills causing nightmares. I know that nicotine patches and pills will, and I've heard of it from antidepressants before. I guess everyone is different.

I've never heard of it either, but it happened to me. The minute I quit those things, the nightmares stopped.

I used to work as a pharmacy tech, and nightmares from meds is not all that uncommon. Some people get nightmares or some people experience extremely lucid dreams. It seemed to happen mostly from either sleeping pills or SSRI's like prozac or zoloft. But, when it comes to side effects, everybody is different and it's possible to experience just about anything as the result of a medication, even if no one else has ever had that exact same experience. You just never know for sure until you take the medication.
