I don't believe from what I have read on this post it is about winning as I too believe baseball is a game of fun. Being able to win by hitting a baseball just makes you better and have more fun looking at past years the only one that hit is BM the rest compete for strike out king. I say let them have fun and enjoy the year won't matter if at the end they are 3-17, because they will be able to win at least a few games winning isn't everything remember that.

I will say this: Very smart for Glover to start the first four games with the weakest teams in the area, hopefully give the team some confidence if they could win one of those. Already better than Gillies!

I agree, from what I have saw he is a lot better than Gillies. Gillies was organized though but not with baseball just information, website, uniforms, etc. Heard Coach Glover wasn't but I watched some practices and he knows what he is doing. Go Canes, season kicks off Monday !!!!!!!

Glover has picked the weakest schedule in the history of East High. That was smart. Because they would get THUMPED if they played last years schedule. Good job for him. Teach the kids to run from adversity and stay mediocre their whole lives and become babies. In the know.

Howdie Doddie would be an improvement to Gillies. So much for his program.

I am from Greeneville, and my coach is an assistant there. I'm glad you won the world series against our JV team. Most of our starters had a meeting for college stuff after school. Now, I've given you a response, I bet you all will hoot and holler at that too!

Lets get past Greenville. True test will be tomorrow night when the season kicks off. Spoke with a friend of mine he said a lot of the boosters were down there all day Saturday and even Sunday working on the field and park. Said the team looks really good but there are a lot of communication problems. Said players never knows what's going on. Evidently the parents were down there all day Saturday and even Sunday and none of the coaches even bothered to come and help. He said they just showed up for practice and left. Wow!!!! Found that strange but I guess it don't matter as long as you win. Good luck tomorrow and Go Canes !!! Hope the rain holds off the park looks great.

Ma'am, a lot of kids had to attend the mandatory TN Achieves meeting. Canes starters had to be there as well. You scrimmaged against one starting pitcher who didn't attend because he isn't attending a local college. The rest were JV underclass men.

Well no surprises yet, east struggling vs s doyle and they are one of there conference weakest 2 teams, the varsity east team almost lost to thegreeneville sophomores as was whom greenville mostly played last week and that was confirmed not just written. As I have read from beginning to end of theses pages of posts this team has been predicted by everyone as weak and I hate it but it looks to be true.
To take a whipping like that vs an equally weak team with number one pitcher on mound equals long long season.

At least you parents do not have to deal with chris gillys that poor man ruined decent baseball players because of his inability to know what and how to aproach coaching. He was such a henderrence to so many, he caused former players to loose confidence and because he was such a poor judge of talent he made so many judgement mistakes and he caused many games to be lost because he and wills could not utilize their true abilities and played them outside their positions and in non positions be glad and thankful that idiottT is gone.

Look these boys do their best and if their best never wins a game then so be it, they are still east high students from the classy side of town, not from the project side of town where our other school is located. East has so much to be thankful for and having the best side of town to call home is just icing on the cake. We love our classy east siders, smarter and better schooled, baseball is just a side show.

Went to game yesterday eve east/ grainger one word-ugly. East lost and it was a bunt fest only 2 true hits, Grainger made 5 fielding errors giving them five free chances on base. Grainger a weak single A, Canes must of just been off their game because they also looked weakly. Come together Canes Go Canes

Heard the east game was small ball that is what you do when you can't hit you do lots of bunting - sissy ball lol. Wait till u come across Cumberland we will teach u the game of baseball, we don't make errors nor do we play sissy ball.
