Well lets see, second harvest has the food box things. I think united way does electric, water, and maybe heat vouchers. Welfare offices ( not to sure of the official name) will have section 8,internet and probably Obama phones. Cry to the baptist churches for clothing and cash. If your looking for something stronger, the Mexicans will give you a disease ajax won't wash off. Feel free to do anything ya want, and take all you can. When the cops come just act spanish, they will let you go scott free .

Sorry, you were born into a world where all the land is owned by someone. So you can't just gather fruits and wild plants without getting arrested for trespassing.

You can't build your own house from trees you cut down yourself without money...with which you didn't have when born.

You can't plant food without the same problems already mentioned.

I suppose you were born as a slave to those whose families are Lords.

See, in the Dark Ages, all the land in the world was owned by someone. The owners were called "Landed."

Their land was within a realm held by a King. The people were taught that the Kings(and Queens) were chosen and appointed by God. Their families were held in esteem, as you know.

The King himself gave out "appointments," or "titles," which were to people then called 'Counts,' for example.

These titles came with an allotment of land and the peasants, or 'serfs' which came with the Titled land holding.

These Lords 'owned' everyone born within their borders. If you wanted to live their you were forced to work. Not on your own land, you didn't have any. You had to work the Lord's land. He became your 'Landlord.'

Then came the reformation, then the Renaissance, then the discovery of the New World. This led to settlements which allowed people to move about freely. Such freedom led to free thinking. Such thinking led to questioning the Social Order I described above.

Such questionings led to the breakdown of the overlord power structure.

However...now we are at the beginnings of the same position those serfs were in the Dark Ages. People look down on education. They say it leads to upstarts, Liberal "free thinkers...," Know it all's who question the social order.

So, you were born a serf...a peasant, a slave to whomever's family has a holding.

Oh, we don't go for titles anymore...maybe a few...remember 'Landlord?' Boss? Do you know the origin of 'Boss?'

So, you have to slave for wages now. In most cases though, those wages are quite paltry.

A few will succeed in getting a high paying wage, but most will be forced to suffer with the basic minimums, while those who haven't learn to think freely will make fun of you...put you down, and write demeaning posts concerning your situation.

they will think it's your fault, even though you were born into a system over which you had no control. They may think you can pick yourself up, but even if you do want to work and they offer you a job, it will be for barely enough to survive.

Good luck. Maybe someday the next enlightenment will come along, but it will be a while.

Are you homeless or just in a bad financial situation? I know some things about being homeless if you need some tips.

...to teach.

It will soon become obvious which ones are the people who are trying to control you and use you for their agendas.

The true people, concerned about the situation they find themselves in, will realize that the arguments between the political parties are all just for show.

I'm new to town and I would like to say Hi, I am not looking for a free ride or anything just that this thread sparked my interest. I know some places have free give aways. I live near the camp ground up past Russellville,TN. I'm really looking forward to camping this summer and that's not totally free but it's pretty close to like a free vacation. East Tennessee is so gorgeous I feel like I have a free view of the mountains everyday. You know people come from all over the US to see our landscape.

Forced to live a certain way. Government has chose for us to live the way we do. Dont work to hard. Get all the free stuf you can. Not all people who look poor are really poor. Think about it if you have a job AND you get free everything you dont have to use your money. Let the money pile up. Next time you see the couple with bunch of kids they could have 50 grand in there mattress.

We've all seen the type of people who cry 'poor,' but are doing much better than others.

We've also seen people who aren't doing well, through no fault of their own(sickness, weaknesses) who we'd take in a foster ourselves if we could.

Any policy the Government implements is an outgrowth of some person or group's influence. I'd say it's more Social 'pressure'(for lack of a better term) than it is Government who 'forces(this term too could be better, no one really 'forces,' but the system has been, whether pre-designed or not, engineered) us to live a certain way.'

Lol, not sure it's "deep," but there's got to be a way to bring about a better dialogue than...'it's all that O-bum's fault.'

People from every political stripe highlight what fits their message, and play down what doesn't. This is understandable, but in no way serves the over-all interests of the citizenry.

Especially now, when there are people and forces working desperately to keep education at a very low priority, should we be circumspect towards what we are told.

If the average person's education becomes limited, they will be even more susceptible to control by information-manipulation.

Worse...there is at least one sector of influence that publicly advocates not funding public and secondary education. They even say that not everyone should have the opportunity to go to college.

In any democracy(actually, any government really, but especially a democracy) an educated populace is the only thing that allows people to understand the forces working for and against their best interests.

Education is a bulwark. It arms people to protect themselves. It equips them with knowledge...and hopefully understanding.

A population that is not able to understand, process, and participate in things that affect their, and their children's lives are doomed.

In an age when the internet provides dictionaries, encyclopedias, and incredible amounts of information, the only way people can be fooled, is if they are dumded down, even instilled with an attitude that education is not cool.

They won't be able to sift through and determine the difference between good info and bad. They won't take the time to research because it's cooler, and easier to just curse and insult those with whom you disagree.
