Go tonite and ask Dr. Haun instead of trying to start another hate thread about the church.

The message at FBC does not sound like what "Brad" has typed here. Dr. Haun is a fine preacher with a gentle soul. Go there, sit, and listen to his message. He will settle your fears.

If your a real bible teaching preacher you should teach that homosexuality is against god.

So you're telling your congregation that God sent Sandy to the Northeast because of their sin and abortions. Did you know that 22,000 women got an abortion in 2008 in the great state of Tennessee? So if that's the case, why did he send tornadoes to Tennessee killing 16 people? Also, why did he send that tsunami killing 250,000 people in which 8 youth groups and several hundred missionaries were killed? Are you really that fu**king retarded? Those of you that attend this sh*thole, are you really that ignorant to believe such nonsense?
why don't you go to the church and ask them yourself instead of posting on a useless gossip webpage that has no significant meaning or are you comfortable hiding behind a screen acting all big and bad?

yes, sorta like the Gleen Beck suggestion that God is sent a message to Japan after the tsunami hit,(and to Liberals as it was believed by many) so it depends on what you want to believe, if your a Christian, you might believe Dr. Haun, if your a Beck follower, you might believe God's sending a message to Liberals, but Haun never said he saw the finger of God like Beck said.

Yes, Dean Haun told that to everyone a couple Sundays ago.
Was there an explanation why god told him and not everyone else?

To be fair is there any chance this is a misunderstanding? Has anyone asked Mr Haun to clarify this? There might be a chance the context was lost or misunderstood. Everyone deserves a chance to explain. Maybe he will see or hear of this post and explain his words or explain they weren't understood as he intended.

Here's an explanation Mark. He's a doctor, who figured out that he could make more money in religion. Well, he was absolutely right. So now that he's in the position that he's in now (a southern baptist con artist), he's got to come up with ways to keep the sheep on the edge of their seats.
These uneducated imbeciles around here, will believe anything that's said to them from a fkking pulpit. It's just that simple. Now it seems that one of the flock is starting to stray away from the herd by asking logical questions which obviously can't be answered.
There are no answers to his questions, simply because the questions he's asking disproves Mr. Hauns entire Sunday speech. Good for you Brad, you should be proud of yourself for what you've done here. Don't worry about the people on here saying, "go ask him yourself." Because after all, we all know what would happen if you started questioning "god Haun and the bunch gang," now don't we?
Have you even listened to his sermon to justify your argument? Or are you just rambling on and on because some where back when you were a little kid you got your feelings hurt and have not moved on from it? Just reading from the comments you have made it sounds like you are the idiot. You give no intelligent information to prove these statements wrong. All you have to offer is calling church goers idiots and names which proves just how low of a person you are. At least church goers have something to hold onto and have hope for something better instead of yourself just hoping that someone actually acknowledges your existence.

Once again, you are taking scripture from the Old Testament and applying it to now. We are to go by the New Testament. If you want to know how He feels about homosexuality read Romans for yourself.

For you that are concerned about Dean Haun! I suggest you go to the First Baptist App and check out the backlog of sermons. Nothing preached but the word and nothing but the word. Get off you mean spirit please. He is my pastor and my friend and you are so wrong. I simply invite/welome you to come and join us! We are just normal people like you and we are not perfect but we are hard at work being apologetic about spreading the love of Jesus! Just remember Pastor Dean loves you and so do I! Will be praying for all of us! Hope you have a great Holiday and Merry Christmas to all.

ROFL....the guy is not a medical doctor. He has a Doctorate of Ministries degree. He didnt switch to religion for more money. He was already in religion. So what were you saying about uneducated imbeciles?

Romans is very critical of homosexuality but Romans wasn't written by God. Romans was written by Paul who was Saul that made a career of persecuting, imprisoning and killing the followers of Jesus. At one point he claimed a conversion, changed his name to Paul and began to teach in contrast to the teachings of Jesus. I have a very difficult time with the reasoning that god would choose Saul as a leader of the students of Jesus. I don't doubt that men can see their faults and work to be better men but I also have to wonder if god has the ability to create , well everything, why he would need someone to communicate to us for him. Most likely you believe we are all the creation of God. If that being the case I'd expect it to be reasonable that god made us all as he intended just the way we are. What you have in the writings of Saul/Paul is at best his his interpretation of the intent of god and at the worse his hijacking of the teachings of Jesus who commanded we all love each other as he loved us.

There you go, It seems we can all hear the sermon for ourselves. Does anyone know the date or be able to provide a link so we can hear it for ourselves and understand the context?

wow at the ignorance.

Paul turned his life over to God. Past that if you don't believe the Bible thats one thing, but to claim/imply he wouldn't use him because of his past to spread his word and proclaim his power to change is asinine.

Also you may want to familiarize yourself with the intent God had towards man. Call God what you want, the universe didn't come from nothing. There is always a before, and it leads to God.

I find it odd that if the bible was written once and should have been perfect the first time, and there should only be one book written by the all mighty. Why do we have so many? Why does the church get to decide which one they want to use? And why was there ever an old and new testament? Was it cause he figured man could not follow his original plan due to their nature to sin? Was done to meet more modern standards? Can it be changed again to suite man? Just seems it should be 1 book 1 god 1 heaven. Follow the original plan or you fail. We don't get to change the rules to suite us.
