Maybe if they bitch and complain enuff, Lear will just shut the damn plant down and ship the work to China. It amazes me how many ppl in the US preach and bitch about their job all the while there are people in other countries doing work to ship back to the US for what a few dollars per hour and horrible working conditions. I believe we all have started wearing little girl panties (men that is a big include you)

I mean come on why vote in the same this g we turned down? Now instead of saying they will close the doors now its they will replace us. Lol! Ok! Wonder how much of a BONUS the committee and little red corvette man is getting from Lear to screw us over! Lmao! Think before you vote! And VOTE NO!!!!!!!!
Sounds like you are drunk. Have you thought about taking a "deep breath" and just exhale. Calm down. If you are voting on the the same contract, just vote the same way you did before. Simple as that. If the Tier 2 people can afford to buy alcohol and cigs, you must not being too bad after all. Just saying.

Little red corvette gets his 100k salary, or whatever it is, while he thinks it is ok for us to take $10.00 hr and be happy

Never worked there, never will. But, the best thing you can do is take whatever contract they offer you. Lear WILL close that facility if the union tries to dig its heels in.
Unions had a place in the 30's and 40's, but, they are simply bankrupting American business today. I personally have witnessed 3 things with unions that made me sick:
1) employee REFUSING to make more parts (company was behind schedule) because his "union contract" says he only has to produce X number per day
2) a manager get threatened with a union grievance for trying to help another man carry a heavy item. The employee said the manager was "taking a union job" from another worker.
3) a non-union engineer threatened with a grievance and made to apologize for CHANGING A LIGHT BULB in his office. Electrical union member went crazy!
Go ask the following companies how the union worked out for them:
GM
Chrysler
American Enka
Tower Automotive
Etc,etc
SCAB

ill be voting no. I agree that there is no way that Lear can get that many people off the street , train them and get shipment out the door because there is no one there to train them. also if we strike I won't last three days and Ford and hyundai will be calling Lear telling them to get this straightend out and we might actually get a decent contract. I'm tier 1 and I'm voting NO and there is a lot more I've talked to voting no.
don't be job scared there is no reason to VOTE NO

Since 1977 Lear has closed 4 plants ( Somerset Kentucky, Union City Tn, Janesville Wis, 1 more up north can't remember name ) because they couldn't satisfy employees with contract. Internationl Union has said they will not support a strike here and this is a right to work state so they can replace us. Look around there are lots of desperate people that will go there and work because $10. is better than $0., and they desperatly need ins for their families. Let me be clear, Tim and Tommy lied to us when we were hired saying we could bid up and make equal to our c-oworkers and that is why most of tier 2 employees are voting no and it is wrong for them to lure us their under false pretenses. I was better off at the job I quit to go to Lear and wouldn't have gone had I known the truth. In 6 months I have realized that Unions are no longer helping employees they are actually making things worse. Jtec, top out at $16 or $17.+ an hr (no union), Otics top out at around $16. or better an hour (no union), Kawasaki Tn top out at $15.50 or more (no union ), Trellborg top out at $17.+ but this one in paticular has just impelmented the 2 tier program so I don't know how much new hires will make (no union). I guess what I'm saying is if you can afford standing on hill and being replaced losing you money and ins vote no, if you can't take that risk vote yes. Don't be fooled by union, they are not helping anyone except International union. They are getting money for nothing and going to the big resort for weeks at a time that we paid for. Myself I will never ever be in another union. Companys with no union are doing much more for employees than the ones without a union. The secret meetings International Union had with companys years ago when they first started this tier bullshit probably neted them a sizable bonus check. So just remember why they want your union dues. Don't just take my wrd for it, research it yourself. Good luck to everyone. At this point I would say yu all are fighting a losing battle though because International is not standing with employees on this issue.Times have changed. Unions used to be good, now I believe they are just as greedy as big corp.

Please be kind. You don't know what the bargaining committee is like. They don't know what Tier 2 is like, because they have not came into that plant making 10$. All I want to say is there is 2 sides to every story. They lost a lot. I think they are trying their best to make gains for all. Why bash the Union. That is like bashing yourself. The people are the UNION. The committee is like the middle man. What would you do without them?

On a personal note, I voted NO twice. I will continue to vote no.
